I just install a CIA game using FBI. Everything seem normal but when I entered the game, I stuck on 3DS logo. So, I try to uninstalled it in FBI, but I can't find the game's serial. Now, I have a game icon which I can neither use nor uninstall. I think my CIA file might me broken.

How can I delete this broken game or how to fix it?

Use http://www.3dsdb.com to find the ID.

I'm back with noobish questions.
I'm not a fan of online play so despite I've had a 3DS for 2 years, I've never looked into online play with modded FW or pirated games. I've only played a couple of matches in Ironfall. Now I'd like to let my brother use my 3DS to play MH online, anything I should know to prevent bans(assuming I can actually prevent any ban)? I have a rxtools emunand + 4.5 sysnand

As far as I know, there is no one who was banned playing CIA game on rxtools. If I were you, I would feel free to play. However, try to play game from the same region as your console indeed.

Can I safely use wifi to update my emunand firmware on Gateway? Trying to play an English patched MHX and it blackscreens on my current 3DS firwmare. Old 3DS if that matters.

Yes it's safe, replace the launcher.dat with the newest one first, then update by going to Settings (check it says GW3D not Ver.), other settings, system update. Don't exit settings while doing this.

I knew so much about DS hacking back in the day, but lost touch in more recent years;

Would you advise buying a sky3DS now, or waiting a few weeks for a gateway/supercard fix?
There is no such thing as a "fix", because in order to get Gateway or CFW's working in newer firmwares we need a new kernel exploit, is not a matter of waiting a few days until they roll an update... It doesn't work like that.

You can:
A) Get Sky3ds+ ($80)
B) Get a new 2DS ($80 at Wallmart right now)
C) Buy an exploitable 3DS.

There is no "better" answer, whatever you choose to do us ultimately your own money and your own decision.

There's several years between exploits found going in the limited history, so I wouldn't be holding your breath about a new exploit anytime soon. My guess is there will be something released a bit after the NX comes out and there are no longer any updates for the 3DS family - but that's not based on any evidence, just guessing.

Just a quick question in my mset folder there's no .bin file just a .nds file yet the tutorial says I need to put the rxinstaller.bin in my root can I just change the file extension from .nds to .bin? If not were do I get the bin file?

Also, Japanese N3DS can come with 8.1 firmware which limits you to using Gateway, unless you go through a tricky process to update to 9.0-9.2 (don't know the details, but it's a current thing being worked on).
i asked around and seem like sellers in my city only have Japanese N3DS with 9.1 FW

is it still possible to install CFW on it?

Yes that will be fine - as there's no games with 9.1 firmware for Japanese consoles they must have been updated over the net and thus will have browsers.

Yes it has gone missing, that's the proof the downgrade was successful since those features weren't in 6.x system settings, they were added later through updates.

For 3DS games your only option is Sky3ds
For DS I suggest you to get a R4i Gold 3DS or a DSTWO (this one is more expensive but brings a built in GBA and SNES emulators), for homebrew you can use browserhax and use install Menuhax 2.0 (Hands down best existing entry point).

You can connect to the wifi, the updates only automatically pre-download if you put the system to sleep while connected to the internet, but even there they won't install automatically.

Thanks for your help but I have one question. What's the difference between R4i SDHC 3DS RTS 2015 vs the R4i Gold. The updates make it look very appealing to me for the R4i SDHC compared to Gold but I'm not sure if it matters.
