Thanks, so basically gateway cost money while provide no extra benefits? (as i google .cia installed games can be easily rip from any .3ds room right?)

If FW 9.2 is no longer a concern, do i still need to find machine with like below FW 9.5 or 9.9... to able to install CFW or they work with any FW version now?

he never said fw 9.5 or 9.9 . . . not sure where you got that but for gateway and/or cfw you need 9.2 or lower

ok so i still need 9.2 to install CFW. I was under the impression that only gateway is limited to 9.2 FW

it goes like this cfw allows for emunand (an emulated clone of your 3ds that you can update to 10.3(o3ds) or 9.5(n3ds))

Sky3ds is the only option over 9.2.

Yes, Japanese systems have japanese languaje only and games will launch in Japanese (except for some games that let you choose your languaje but that's just a few of them). If you want to have the system and play in another languaje you would jave to go through a rather difficult region swap proccess.

USA N3DS by default have English, French, Spanish and Portuguese languajes available.

Also, Japanese N3DS can come with 8.1 firmware which limits you to using Gateway, unless you go through a tricky process to update to 9.0-9.2 (don't know the details, but it's a current thing being worked on).

Use sysupdater with rxTools Dev Mode and update to 9.2

Then setup Menuhax 2.0 and Ctrbootmanager.

so i feel like im missing something.

Found dev mode alright, found sysupdater in another thread.

Used FBI to install it to the system.

dont see any icons for it on the start menu.

am kind of at a loss for how to run it.

sysupdater has to be installed with the destination set to SD.

After that reboot into Dev Mode again and the icon will show up in the menu.

It won't come on automaticity so I try to open python and insert my file that way but no dice. Any suggestions?

Sadly there is no way to spoof eshop access as of now.

Yes it allows you to run emulators, region free, screnshots, romhacks, custom themes and sme more things.

Hey guys good news I think I played around with the path for opening and finally got a firmware.bin file!!!!!! But still have doubts my file is 3485kb and the video was only 943kb
Is this an issue?

So I transfered data from my original 3ds to the emunand of the cfw, the problem is that I don't have fbi on my emunand anymore. How can I get it back?
