It's just a rough estimate. I mean, 2016 is possibly Wii U's last year and by then a lot of time has passed by.

Edit: **Had** not got.
What does the lifespan of a console have to do with the hobbywork of a single guy making an emulator for a console that nobody emulated before?
Let me ask my magic eightball, maybe it knows more than me...

Also i know you probably like Music, correcting me in this way, but if you really GOT to be that guy, at least correct me in things that are actually incorrect...

Because by then the Wii U's lifespan is likely over and the NX will takeover so more for modders to fiddle with. And also, you were incorrect in saying "If i got a dollar for everytime somebody asks stuff like this". Well, technically you may have a dollar for every time (everytime is not a word) that everyone asked for it.

Not sure why you're so worked up over it. It was just a simple guessing question.

Because people keep asking these... "questions"... even tho it is perfectly clear that you can't remotely estimate that stuff, at all.

I mean can we go two pages without someone whining or complaining ?

Anyways on topic can someone explain the Wii U cores to me ?
I think this thread should be closed and only opened for new announcements and updates by Exzap.

Fair enough. As it stands anyone who hasn't bought a Wii U in the couple of last months shouldn't bother now either as the next Nintendo home console is apparently not too far off.

That would just open the floodgates to new threads asking stuff about that emulator, please dont.
If an Update will be there a post will be written and the first post edited regardless of what is written here, anyways, no need to make room for more of these.

Oh and before anyone points it out, i deliberately went here to ask about that splatoon-stuff because a new thread just for that would have been silly, it's basically my whole point, here xD

The NX isn't supposed to replace the Wii U.

That's what they said about every new console that's come out, like when the DS came out and they said it would be "third pillar" to the gameboy lineup. (GBA, GBA SP, DS)
Well to be fair, the GBA and DS were at least 3...years...apart...
Oh. Oh no.

From what I heard the Nintendo did something special for the CPU.
Not really. Espresso is a 3-core variant of the PowerPC 750, the same design used in the GameCube and Wii. The only thing that I can think of that's uncommon about the processor is the L2 cache. It's made up of eDRAM instead of eSRAM which reduces the area the cache takes up but I believe DRAM is inherently more latent than SRAM. I may be wrong though. How the cache is split up is also uncommon.

Core 0 - 512KB
Core 1 - 2048KB
Core 2 - 512KB

Got Splatoon ingame by messing with the jump physics with cheat engine. Was a little difficult because the game seems to kill you if you jump for too long. Unfortunately game seems to get slower as it goes on (like mario maker) and it didn't budge after the cuttlefish intro. I'll post a video and maybe the save tomorrow. Shops currently crash.

PPC 750 CL iirc
The Gekko's was a 750 CXe, and Broadway was also a CL.

So does anyone know what the control sticks and arrow pad are bound to for keyboard? I notice in the Cemu1.1.2b we cant bind those to keyboard inputs...

Is there something I'm missing?
