Quick bug report - if you set an external controller in your control scheme, then remove it and restart cemu, the program immediately crashes.

The easiest thing to search for is y-position, so you can hover over the level. It's a little hard to find the Y position of the character though, I just keep getting animation bone offsets.

The dementors are here, run!

Well lucky you, when i change values i dont get ANY effects, maybe i just have bad luck in filtering them xD

Edit: ok, i found the values for the cameras y-position, close but not quite it xD

While i really allways enjoy new Emus popping up, my first adventure with that one came to a sudden and fast end when i saw the ink in sploot couldn't be emulated, yet xD
Now i am looking for ways around it to get to inkopolis without being able to climb walls in the tutorial xD

For now i thought of:
-Using Cheat Engine to change the current level, make a levitationbutton or freeze the value that dtermins what floortype i stand on, so i could climb any wall as a squid, but i cant seem to find any of the addresses on ramwatch.
-Changing the Savefile to skip the tutorial, which once again i got no idea where to find the address.
-Swapping szs-files, but cemu wont run extracted games, yet, nor are WUD-images manipulatable, yet afaik.

Any ideas, someone? xD
Still a great emulator so far.
Or we could have an emulator that is actually accurate.

You make it sound like writing a good and accurate Emulator for WiiU-Games is such an easy task and everyone is just to lazy to do it...
This one is heading the right way and from what i could tell improving quite quickly so how about you post something usefull or save your time, there xD

It's a better idea in the long run to stick with accuracy than use a bunch of hacks and shortcuts that you'll have to clean up later.

Which is not at all the point i was making. i HAVE indeed noticed that this emu could use some polish here and there, but it STILL is the first to come out and one that does work at that.
So unlike other people i won't go complaining about it when i am not in the position, mood or with the level of skill to make a better one, myself.
It's called not being a d*ck, and is usefull in a handful of situations, ESPECIALLY if you ask for something.

I don't think anyone is complaining.

It's the point I was trying to make, since that first post I quoted essentially said:
"This emu is nice an' all, but ink is broken. How do we get around it?"
The question shouldn't be "How do we get around it?" but "How do we fix it?"
I'm not complaining about anything, and I'm pretty sure Exzap has already started ignoring the whiners.

I never said it's easy, just gave some advice based off of past experiences. The hax cleanups also happened to the Dolphin team (on a much larger scale)
And I don't need to save time. The holidays give me much more free time than I need ;)

Yup but it didnt try to make a fix happen sooner, nor did it try to excuse it, it was merely the question of a workaround for now.
Exactly like how asking to see Inkopolis at this state would definitely not be out of the impression that it's gonna look perfect or feel special, but out of sheer curiosity.
I mean i can kind of see what you where trying to say, but it's just the way you said it, that was bugging me.

...
I get that a lot.
Still don't see the point of leaving the tutorial in this state though, but oh well.

Also i literally just isolated 130 values of all types that CE could scan, all of which are corresponding to me jumping and changing elevations exclusively, froze them all, and all i could get done was freezing the Y-Location of the camera, still being able to jump and move between elevations with ease. Could it be that CE just isnt capable of freezing the values properly?

It just appeared to me that the values that actually force the model could be calculated differently...

maan if DX12 is implemented I think the emulator would be 60 fps. Just look at rpcs3 this emulator has been speed up and optimized visually with DX 12 :O
*sigh*
No. Switching immediately to DX12 will not instantly give us full speed.
Just because it is being used doesn't mean 60fps is going to happen.

This thread has derailed so many times i don't think it'll ever go on the right tracks again, anywho, i can't wait for the next version, the progress so far has been outstanding
I mean can we go two pages whithout someone whining or complaining ?

Anyways on topic can someone explain the Wii U cores to me ?

OFCOURSE not 60 fps, tried to paint a picture of the fact that it would give a "decent" speed up :-) hopefully
Smooth...

Well, proper implementation of DX12 could mean somewhat of a speedup, but same goes for a good adaptation of OpenGL.
And at the point this emulator is, yet and how it's still far from accurate (as mentioned earlier), this is definitely gonna do nothing at this point but slow down development.
Talking about what exactly is unoptimized so far is a bit hard without insight into the sourcecode, tho.

No, in it's current state performance isn't the primary focus, but accuracy.
Making it fast before most games can actually run is like putting the cart before the horse. After that, I think they might want CPU optimizations first. I could be confusing it with something else, but I think DX12 is more for the GPU's benefit.

Is by the end of 2016 a good estimation to when Cemu becomes a stable Wii U emulator to play its games?
