ROM Hack GBC Injection - An official 3D Banner successfully edited but...

As you can see on the third image, the first banner appears during the rotation, why?

If someone want the banner, or is interested in check why, here it is the template of the GBC banner (Zelda Link Awakening).

Ok, I think I found why.
If you open the cgfx in EFE an check COMMON1.png, you see a lot of level (0 1 2 3 4...).
Ohana3DS can just extract/import the first level (0), so I guess we have to wait for an update to EFE for the import :')

Ohana3DS can just extract/import the first level (0), so I guess we have to wait for an update to EFE for the import :')

Yes, you are right. The mipmaps (distant textures) are causing this. EFE has still no support for texture hacking because I can't fully parse all sections of the bcmdl and therefore not write it back completely (like keeping the animations and stuff).

So from what I understand CGFX is a container format for textures, models, shaders and other data.

When you say "open the cgfx in EFE" I've lost you because from what I see neither EFE or Ohana3DS recognise .cgfx files. Do I need to rename them to something else?

I'm having a similar problem with some .BMTA.bin files from Style Savvy which when dragged into a hex editor seem to be CGFX format, but so far I've yet to actually do anything useful with them.

If a file format isn't indexed on 3dbrew.org then I basically have to reverse engineer the format from scratch with a hex editor right?

I uploaded a new version of EFE that supports replacing textures. It still can't save animations though, so they will be lost.

@gdkchan - thanks for the modified ohana 3ds :-)

anyway, just want to ask about the official GBA banner? does it contain 3 banner like GBC/GB banner? or just a picture?

I don't know if this is a good thread for my question but I searched this forum and google for few hours and I can't find the answer.
Is this possible to make a GB virtual consol game with original Game Boy mode instead Game Boy Color? I make CIA with all original Game Boy banner and icons but I can't figure out how to change that in game "bezel". Thanks in advance for any help :)

Oh and sorry for double post :(

EDIT: I finally managed how to do this so now I have custom GB VC rom with original GB mode :)

HackingTookit > banner
Make sure you have banner.bin in the same folder
