Just a quick note for the 2.1 for 10.2, having erased my cart and trying 2.5, which failed, re inserting the save and payload manually seems to still be working. So maybe it's not as random as I initially thought.

Follow the normal steps but use the payload for the one you want it to work on... Then install it to the cartridge and then put the game in the other ds and load the game then click the save you applied the hack to
What payload do I have to download? Do I have to rename it or something?
If I try to install it just copy/pasting the installer on the 3ds folder, then it gives me an error.

What region oot are you using there must be a reason why it works on some cartridges but not others?

One had 10.2 Japan and was able to make OoT3dhax work form him with payload 2.5 via payload.bin insert via SVDT.

How do you insert it though?

Get the payload from this site go down and input your system settings and download the otherapp one then rename it payload.bin put it in the oothax installer folder then open homebrew click oothax installer and follow the instructions

There is no folder structure in the cart.
When you use SVDT it automatically shows you the root of the game cart
Save00.bin
Payload.bin

What I mean is on the SD card where abouts do I put the payload for use with save manager

Anywhere you want you can browse it from SVDT and insert it back to the cart.

SD:/3ds/SVDT
SD:/savebackup (i cant remember exact folder name where SVDT dumps but it's on the root of your card)

payload location shouldn't matter as SVDT allows you to browse and copy from any location in the sd.

Now it is installed without errors, but when I try to use the save on the 3ds with 10.0, it crashes...
any idea?

Honestly other than this inserting the payload I have no other ideas my ds loads the game then crashes returns to the home menu and restarts the ds every time I've never had a working oothax yet

Cheers will give it a go soon

Well inserting the payload and save via svdt is the only way I have managed to even get 2.1 working tbh. So maybe that's the best way?

I can't do this now as my friend updated his ds so I no longer have a way onto homebrew at all -.-
