whats the point of unlinking sys and emu nand for use with rxtools?

You can put a different theme on sys and emuNAND so you can tell which is which easily

You don't have to unwrap CIAs every time you launch emuNAND.

That last one alone one alone is enough of a good reason. odd i dont remember ever having to unwrap cias in synand on gw maybe the very first time it was launched perhaps.

is there any cia app that can be installed to sysnand that will install or boot rxtools, so the system can be booted without connecting sysnand to the internet and using the browser hack page to boot rxtools?

I use the MSET Nintendo Profile exploit, just the easiest no-Wifi method to install (if you can deal with going through all the windows every bootup)
This isn't autoboot, it's manual go to System Settings -> Profile -> NDS Profile every single time.

yea its not for me i have a gw its for my mrs and i reckon if i tell her to do the hack via the browser shell as some point update the system. i think the mset is removed as well when ds games are run and shes hasnt got any ds r4 cards so dont think thats anygood unless the mset exploit can be installed somehow from sysnand. i have a gw card to initially set shit up.

Autoboot is a good option then. Someone had a post about how to get rid of the update nag froM emuNAND so if you keep and eye on her system and get rid of the nag as soon as it appears, it will be really hard for her update the system, even on purpose.

actually i think she has a r4 normal card but has lost the r4 delux card so i think im good.

so unlink them make emunand becomes region free??? as far as I know, only out of region (non region free) CIAs need to unwrap

Emunand is never region free.
CIAs can be run through a region-free patcher to make them region free.
