Are you selecting the BIOS file under the "load content" menu option? If so, you don't need to do that. Just select whatever game you want to load, since RetroArch auto-detects the BIOS so long as it's in the right folder.
and what's the right folder? or can i set a bios folder myself :)

Just tried one of the last 3dsx builds yesterday evening, with Tubehax on 10.1 N3DS.
CatSFC still ran great but with the slightly high sound pitch issue - is it going to be fixed someday by any chance?

Well, I'm just asking but I may have the answer already; I tried CatSFC Plus afterwars and man, what an improvement.
The last time I tried it (few days ago), it was slow to the point of being unplayable. Now it only has few slowdowns in some games and places/situations, but otherwise it's perfect and the sound pitch is accurate as well!
I really didn't expect that but it was awesome, I just couldn't stop playing cause it was so enjoyable. I guess CatSFC Plus is the one being optimized then? That would be the answer to my first question.

In any case, good job to the devs regarding SNES emulation!

Couldn't try GBA yet with gpsp cause I forgot to put the BIOS in the system folder (am I right about that btw?)
Is gpsp the best recommended emulator on N3DS?

I then gave a try to the PSX emulation on Alundra, of course with PCSX. No settings changed in particular except for the aspect ratio format and display.
Constant 12-13 fps, very slow so unplayable, but I let it run until about the middle of the introduction scene. Thought it'd run a little bit better on N3DS since it's a 2D game, but I guess it's just normal using a 3dsx build :)

No, after i set where the bios is in settings, turned off dynamic recompiler, and sound was off, i tried loading
Persona 2 Eternal Punishment
which was 691 MB and the ps1 intro started but after it ended i got sent to the same menu with the CD player and memory card options, same result with a smaller 485 MB game. How do I proceed or go from here?

@aliaspider, https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/commit/5e05ad443a04403abbe50fe86d376e69a2b77c0d is what broke the CIA builds. If I revert to one commit before, it works fine.

Temporary quickfix is setting APP_SYSTEM_MODE_EXT to 0 in makefile.crt instead of 6 (but I assume this disables the extra memory, right?).

For the rest of you guys: just revert back to the build from 9/30 or 10/1, it should hopefully be fixed later.
thank you for taking the time to bisect this. I just disabled it so the buildbot should have the fix soon.

Guys, I had some problem! Please help me!

It is about configuration on settings or something: I changed something in Input to 3ds controller to none and then the buttons stopped working. The same with all emulators.

Im using the cias, but everytime I run an emulator, the config settings are still the same and cant move anything.
Please help me.

That's the point of having two different CatSFC revisions: One is faster but has the sound pitch off, CatSFC+ doesn't, but it takes more power to emulate it properly.

Well, I'm just asking but I may have the answer already; I tried CatSFC Plus afterwars and man, what an improvement.

Somewhat... they are just placing equal resources into the general Libretro experience, NOT just particular emulators (Though PCSX has a bit more of a focus as of late...).

Speaking of which, any other changes in the last commit that are notable?

Can the speedhacks be ported from catsfc plus to catsfc?

There are no speedhacks. This is Retroarch. It's not how it rolls.
Both are coded the same, just a different Audio engine.
Speaking of which, savestate fix by any chance for CatSFC+? Because it seems if it loadstates, the emulator stops accepting new data into memory.
Ex. Loadstate on Megaman X stage select, you can select a stage, but then it black screens because it lost all the data somewhere...

That's it's own issue that all the Retroarch cores have. It shouldn't be the cause of any crashes, it's just for the "Recent Content" section of the GUI.

I have a 9.2 o3DS and want to enable dynamic recompiler in gpsp retroarch but can't figure it out. I've looked through the entire retroarch settings a few times and don't understand how to enable it. Can anyone help?

edit: nvm, found it and it says it activates after resetting. However resetting doesn't help the game's performance at all...any help?
