As someone family is from the Mediterranean (am a brit and live in UK) but my community has a culture which eat "green" food in side a bread when you have a "peckish" or just a small snack.

My favourite green food is Sorrel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sorrel the sour taste is like no other, I normally don't like sour stuff that much but this is something else, closed thing to it is sour coca cola candy. I would recommend you try Sorrel once in your life time if you can.

what is your favourite green food to eat? is just plain lettuce or something more exotic like mine or something completely different . where living healthy is massive these days, and should be, with the amount of people who are overweighted.

please don't be a smart ass and say marijuana.

P.S. I'm doing GBAChef :-D

In the fridge there is usually something dead I can nibble upon. That said spring onions (preferably the larger variety that is also purple/red), radishes and salad cream in a sandwich or wrap works for me.

Well, call me weird but pickles are quite neat.

Be careful when you use the term pickles. A lot of the US take on it seems to be where things are preserved in brine rather than vinegar with spices. The former tastes foul in my experience where the latter can vary from edible to delicious.

I don't have a favorite green food, some of the ones I do eat are lettuce, broccoli, jalapeno peppers, pickles. I use them mostly as toppings to better enhance the taste of other foods.

that what most people use green food as.. its like that in the west. we must have meat with everything.

this is for everyone . eating green once a week. can lose that belly, but make you happier and live longer.

I'm a U.S. native and pickles are always made with vinegar and spices.

I've never had one just with brine.

I'm Mediterranean ! living near Nice in south of France.
But I have to say I never tasted Sorrel.

I guess I eat a lot of vegetable, not necessarily green one.
I don't like cucumber taste, but that's just me.
usual green one are Zucchini, little peas, green beans (the long one, not the little seeds), flat beans (long too, but flat) (long and flat picture here), Chou (I don't know english word for them, but there are a lot of species), spinach too.

We have some plants that looks like spinach, called blettes,
we can bake them in a salted pie (tourte aux blettes)

edit:
now I'm hungry...
