I actually thought this would fall through, but you're actually getting somewhere! Good luck man, wouldn't mind using this myself to be fair.

looks kinda bland, any design ideas?

Wish you the best on this project! It's an awesome idea and with the progress you have made so quickly I think you can make it happen. :yay:

could you make alpha or beta 3dsx files for us to test? like the 3dsx of the 3fhex in the picture?
No. It corrupts everything it touches atm

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Why would you use C?

I'd personally want to use Lua just for the ease of changing things + built in graphics functions. I haven't looked into libctru's stuff, though.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Plus it can be learned in an afternoon.

Anyone got a link for import ORAS offsets? I've finally got the app to do what I want it to do (sort off)

I hate it when people clog us your PSS. It makes looking for information hard. If only I could BOX them off :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So ERM. Do ORAS saves use a checksum? That maybe a problem
I'm almost positive they have a checksum. PKHeX has a checksum fixer in it.

Hey Lukes, I was thinking of ideas for homebrew personal projects and a 3DS pkHex comes to mind, problem thus far is you already started with this idea. So I could either make a competing project or we could cooperate ! Would you be interested in a second coder ? I'm proficient with C/C++, and lua is not hard to learn.

Sure dude I'm stuck trying to access different offsets, if we work together we could keep this from going stale. Its coded in lua ATM but its not hard to convert to C really.

Alright, got some news, I managed to
1. access the main save file
2. read encrypted pokemons from it
3. decrypt the pokemons (thank god pkhex is open source)
With the decrypted pokemons, accessing their stats is easy, Right now I have a proof of concept that reads the nickname of the first pokemon of box 1.
It's still very WIP, but it's progressing.

Could you put the current code on Github?
