Here's my recommendation:

Make it so that 3FHex reads the .SAV files directly from the root of the SD.
Here's the info you'll need for reading and detecting the proper .SAV per game and region:

This is EXACTLY how Gateway stores the .SAV for each game in the root of the SD.
There is no variation in the names between regions.
Hmm, but wouldn't these files have nintendo's encryption?

Not that I know of.
I think I used those very same .SAV files in PKHex without converting them at one moment.
Even so I have no access to gateway.

Okay so the Pokemon's name seems to start at the 64th byte of data

You don't need one.
I can provide you the SAV files for AS/Y and test them in the app, or do whatever tests you need to do with them. :P

You can't use the sav files created by Gateway because the Pokémon games are Card2 games, so no sav files are created and even if you'd extract the raw saves from the roms or use CIAs so that sav files are created you wouldn't be able to use them in PKHeX because they're encrypted. They have to be exported and re-imported with SDF or other tools like that.

Damn i forgot about this.
Yes, indeed I had to use Save Data Filer to extract the save and then use it in PK Hex.

Okay I've gotten the info needed on where the names are located and now I have to make a 3dsx that can display said information. Then I'll go from there
