Is there a way someone can create a mod for these games, where the battle victory message can be skipped?
What happens exactly is that when you win a battle, you hear the victory jingle, and the game will stop for almost 4 seconds with the message "Victory!" (DQ1) or "The enemy are defeated!" (DQ2/3).
These games are actually quite a bit fast to play, which is very nice, but yet for some reason they felt the need of stopping everything to a screeching halt whenever you win a battle... it just hurts the experience quite a lot for me because you fight a lot in these games. There was no such long victory delay on NES or GBC.

If I'm gonna take a wild guess, it seems the game is programmed to advance the text as soon as the audio is finished playing, rather than a specific timed delay. I say this because on NES and GBC the audio ends quickly, and the text advances right after it's done... while on Switch, the victory jingle has an added echo, and the text won't advance until you hear the end of the echo. It's quite frustrating actually. I wish the delay would at least be shortened to just 1 second, or be eliminated entirely so you can just spam the A button to get out of there quickly and continue with the game.
Would be interesting to see what would happen if one could replace the audio with a much shorter sound file to see if it depends on the audio length or not. Sadly I can't do such things.

Thanks!
