Hacking Downgrading 3ds Linked SYSNAND and EMUNAND NO NNID

I know that you are supposed to unlink your nands or you won't be able to use the eshop. With that being said, I tried to make my NNID on my system before doing the downgrade, only to find out I need to update(atleast on sysnand) If i have never had a NNID, Could I do the downgrade on the sysnand to 4.2 and make a new NNID on the Emunand?

4.x doesn't have NNID integrated into the system, so I would just set one up once you have emuNAND good to go.

Honestly, there's very little reason to downgrade anymore outside of Palentine CFW. Most everything (and even future development efforts) are being made in the 9.x realm.

I want to be able to launch dsprofile hack on my 7.2sysfw but people are telling me I have to downgrade to do that. I honestly would prefer to stay on my FW, Ive just been having trouble. I already downgraded my MSET but I can't run the code.bin through the browser. Since I do not have a flashcart, I wanted to be able to load the CFW(not really CFW honestly) off the DSProfilehack. Would you suggest I skip out on downgrading?

You should be able to do what you need with RxTools. Don't quote me on it, but I believe it can allow you to install unsigned CIA's (MSET hack) to your sysNAND. But yeah, I wouldn't downgrade. Pasta, RxTools and Ninjhax can all be run on firmware up to 9.2 (Ninjhax 2.0 up to FW 9.9).

Really though, in the amount of time it would take you to open system settings and get to the DS Profile button, it's probably just as long as opening the browser and waiting for the exploit to load online from a bookmark. And it saves you the headache of installing something to sysNAND which you may want to keep clean for a future system transfer.

I imagined this would be like the PSP cfw where it actually replaces the main sysnand firmware but unfortunately I guess theres limitations, I can't complain though I am pretty happy. Anyways, I just want to be able to boot RXTools when the DS is offline, I feel like the hack is incomplete without the DSprofile(in my opinion)

Sure, I'm always around the house for my O3DS, and on my N3DS I use Cubic Ninja which is offline anyway. So I can see your purpose. Just be careful and do your research, the 3DS is pretty easy to brick if you don't dot your i's and cross your t's!
