Yeah, so inadvertent that literally no kernelmode exploits work on 9.3+...

I know the original intent wasn't to allow kernel access but I'm thinking they're related. It can't be a coincidence that Gateway and countless other things that use the spider exploits need 9.2 or lower.

It seems like Nintendo doesn't care about pirates anymore, the update barely affects Gateway and the multi-rom break was most likely not even intentional.

And as always Sky3DS is not affected at all.

Wouldn't surprise me, since there's a bit of a barrier to entry for homebrew and piracy on the 3DS. The people that are willing to put in the money or effort aren't going to be stopped that easily. Major exploits they'll probably still try to fix, but I doubt they'll pour in money for the smaller exploits that would be ultimately fruitless. I wonder how much money Sony poured into the PSP to try to stop piracy?

Well, didn't they patch the original NinjHax before it was released? Though, with that they may have discovered the vulnerability themselves, since smealum had said he wanted to make sure it would work on the N3DS as well, then commented that it would take some tweaking, they might have gathered that it relied on a Spider exploit...

Sony patched the "golden firmware" v1.50 vulnerability (Swaploit June 15, 2005 / KXploit June 22, 2005 released by Spanish group PSP-DEV for PSP) with an update to v1.51 (on May 18, 2005), almost a month before the release of the exploit, and the build date for 1.51 is 20050507.

Um, what I'm saying is that it is literally impossible for Nintendo to patch it because they DO NOT KNOW what flaw he is taking advantage of because HE HAS NOT RELEASED IT. You can't fix something if you don't know how it breaks.
...Yeah i know that but what im saying its that maybe they had a update and they wanted smea to relase ninjhax 2.0 and after he relase it they were going to patch it after the relase and the original update was going to be the update we have and ninjhax patch after he relased ninjhax

Depends on the vulnerability too though. Memchunkhax was patched out before it was used because Nintendo knew it was there, and had a good idea that Gateway's new support would use firmlaunch hax, so they patched the immediate exploit as soon as possible. They could have patched it earlier, but it would have alerted everyone to the exploit's presence.

i said after smea relase it but they also can patch it because it works like reguionfour like smea said and i think nintendo know how reguionfour works

So, does it break any DS Mode flashcarts that weren't broken prior to the update?
I'm guessing that's probably a no, but, well, you never know.

nope nintendo seem to have given up on blocking DS flashcards, probably not worth the effort and all it does is makes DS flashcard users rush out to buy a new DS flashcard that does work leading to more sales for flashcard makers.......and its not like nintendo are selling NDS games any more so there is pretty much zero benefits to nintendo to motivate them to continue the game of cat and mouse with NDS flashcards, i will go out on a limb and just guess that we will never see another DS flashcard whitelist update
