You realize you can delete the cia files after you install them, don't you?

I did that ages ago. Thing is I'll probably have to load them back into the SD card before installing them to sysnand and deleting them again, unless there's an easier method (besides unlinking NANDs)

Well, I was trying to dump movable.sed from my older 3DS and inject to my new O3DS emuNAND to transfer all my .installed .cias and saves(Not new3DS, is another 3DS I got and is new out of the box) and the emuNAND bricks...

Am I missing anything else?

I used a clean 2gb SD card, put only rxTools on it, installation failed. Could my browser version possibly be affecting this?

Have you tried 2.5.2? And do you have the patched AGB_FIRM installed? You may need to get into sysnand rxmode to install the patched AGB, I know some people have solved the Installation Data Suite that way. 0004013800000202 version 3665, and patch it.

Theres 3 folders. I'm pretty sure they are unlinked.



Savedatafiler and Fire Emblem only show up on emunand. Also, the present for Fire Emblem only shows up after I start another app like FBI.

Is that the new Fire Emblem that is JPN region only? Cos the gift wrapping bug will happen in that case.

Edit: Correction: the gift wrapping bug may happen to other region cias. Which seems to be what is happening to you

Mmm okay, I miss understand the probleme but I think this is because the game reboot into sysnand after he played it and the emunand doesn't keep the information. I think if he open the gift then play the game and press home without quitting the game and load another game then shutdown the emunand, the gift will disappear.

Just installed PADZ and tried what you suggested. If I don't turn the console off, everything stays unwrapped in emunand. Once I power the console off and back on, Fire Emblem is gone and I have to start another app for it to show up. It shows up unwrapped again. However, PADZ stays unwrapped. Could it be a region thing? PADZ is US, Fire Emblem is JP, my 3ds is US.

yes i had it too on my JAP console with other region cias, no need to open app, just close and open your 3ds, it will re apper
but you still must unwrapped the app before use it.

Well I'm about to update emunand but I've read that you need to unlink nands first to be sure to not update sysnand. Is this still true or is that old info?

I encountered the gift wrap issue always showing when booting rxmode when installing cias from other region.. my nands are unlinked btw.. is this a known bug? any suggestions? thanks

You have a 6.X downgraded mset on 7.X right ?

Yes. I used the downgraded MSET in Rxtools menu. Then 0004003000009402 version 4096 installed.

Just play around downgraded sysnand to 4.2. Re-create Emunand 9.8. MSET boot to RXtools well until I injected FBI into Emunand. After that, whenever I use the MSET it gives error and reboots (same error with 7.2.0-12U downgraded MSET Rxtools + 0004003000009402 version 4096 installed)!!!

Note: This O3DSXL is one of those that successfully injects FBI to H&S, but boot up as H&S at 4.2 (sysnand and emunand) like those mentioned on first page of the RXtools support thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/support-rxtools-official-technical-support-thread.391523/ .
