However, since this is for my friend and she thinks it's too complicating. She only knows how to use QR code-scanning hack.

Very simple :

- Download that : SaveDataFiler.cia (no link, leaked official SDK)
- Install it on your 3ds, load it and press "Y" to dump your save. ( X : 0055D, Y : 0055E, OR : 011C4, AS : 011C5 )
- Search for the file named "main" on your SD card : "SD:\filer\UserSaveData"
- Download this : PKHeX, load the main file and edit your save like you want.
- Go to the SAV tab and click "export save" and replace the older main file.
- Go back to your 3ds and restore your save with SaveDataFiler by going to the "SD" tab and press "A" to restore the save you want.
- Load your game, done.

Yep, I dun goofed and forgot to put the text file on there too.

However, now I'm getting the "Installation Data Suite" failed almost immediately. (Sort of remember fixing this via Cubic Ninja)
I do have the firmware.bin download and on the SD, I removed the Slot0x25Keyx since it's a 9.2

Edit: I figured out why. On the SD (specifically SD:/RxTools/Data) I had my old installation suite. Deleting the contents and rerunning successfully installed.

Yep just got it - was the Data folder specifically. Last question, I know supposedly you don't need the KeyX.bin on 9.2, is there any way to suppress the prompt about it? Or is it still required post 7.x?

Nope, but the slot0x25Keyx.bin is only 1kb so you can keep it on your sdcard ^^ No ?

You can, but if you do something wrong you will end up with a browserless console, devmenu is safer because it can overwrite your current browser.

For downgrade yes, because you have to delete the upper version first but for upgrade it works like in devMenu, no ? I think I already update a title with FBI and it has worked.

Like all of your .cia, with FBI. You have to search on the net for devmenu_2x.cia because it's not open sources.

Not really, open FBI, select devmenu_2x.cia and press "A" ^^
