You can manually downgrade your mset, just launch gateway mode on sysnand then install mset_usa.cia (from the gateway site) with devmenu.3ds.

Oh so downgrading is necessary afterall.
I can't use devmen.3ds because the 3DS is at my gf's place and she has no Gateway card or Cubic Ninja for Pasta CFW.
Is there an alternative way to downgrade? I keep reading about you guys using mset from 6.x, 7.x, 8.x. Why would I need to downgrade?

The MSET entry point was patched on 7.0, so to use it on 7.X-9.2 you have to replace your mset with the 6.X or 4.X one.

Thanks VerseHell, just what I needed! The MSET exploit now works flawless with Rxinstaller + Latest Rxtools beta + downgraded mset on 9.0 sysnand.
Another piece of versatility for Rxtools over Gateway on O3DS, being able to boot into it without needing 4.5.

Im on 9.2 so I need to use 6.x MSET exploit, I downloaded 0004001000022000 for my EUR 3ds, is this 4.x? or 6.x? Or it doesnt matter?
Because Im going to the site to install the ROP and it is just sitting on the Executing... page

Yes, you need to downgrade the MSET to 4.x-6.x version.

That is correct, use 6.x MSET for 9.2, its in the post above yours.

RXtools now says "Installation failed" I have the latest firmware.bin, is there something Im missing? Its refusing to boot, it worked before I installed the MSET ROP, which is weird

First I need to learn to use MSET exploit on >4.5 by experiment on another friend's 3ds!

O3DS on 9.2.0-9U. Downgraded MSET to 6.x, upgraded browser to 1.7567. Boot DS flashcart and choose RXinstaller.NDS, and choose 9.x and reboot. Try to launch and just get "error has occurred"

The rxinstaller has not been updated yet, it still supports only 9.X with 4.X MSET, you need to use the CakeROP.nds (I posted it some page ago) and choose 6.X.
