Just for fun I tried to get amiibo settings installed on GW emunand 9.2. Here's what happened.

installed cabinet (amiibo applet). rebooted. no change.
installed home menu v13330 (9.3) rebooted. emu-brick.

and the wait for reiNand continues.

I'm using PastaCFW since the first release and I installed each of my retail card games as CIA. I also installed stuff like custom GBA VC, and I also have some eshop paid content. (VC games)

I want to left PastaCFW for rxtools with signatures patched.
How can I keep all the content I installed and bought on the store?

Should I unlink the nand?

I was thinking to that:
-Use the gateway launcher to setup the Emunand.
-Copy back my SD Card content.
-Update the emunand using RxTools.
-Downgrade my sysnand and format it.

I want to manage to keep all the things I've got on my sysnand but I also want to launch Emunand from the settings.
Is it the way to go or did I make a mistake? (I don't know if the way I want to do it is gonna work.)

- Backup all contents of your sd card
- Launch the gateway menu and format emunand
- Restore all your sd card files
- Boot rxTools, all your stuff should be here.

After that you can format the sysnand to unlink your nands but you will have to reinstall your gba games on your sysnand to use it in rxMode (gba games have to be installed on sysnand and emunand). And don't forget to install the AGB-FIRM with signature patched on the emunand too (like on sysnand).

Edit : Don't forget tho remove the sd card if you want to format your 3ds.

I did this:
-Backup my SD card content
-Launch the Gateway Launcher.dat and format Emunand.
-Launch the Gateway Launcher.dat and downgrade.
-Remove the SD Card, boot the 3DS and format it.
-Remove the new "Nintendo 3DS" folder.
-Copy back all the files on the SD card
-Install the MSET exploit.

Everything is working fine, I didn't loose anything and I can launch my game without launching Cubic Ninja.
No mistakes possible now, I can't update sysnand anymore. (No wifi AP setup)

No you can't choose the file name with the mset exploit for now...
But with the browser (spider) you can I think : 3DS Online Tools.

Yes, to launch rxMode on sysnand, but if you want emunand you have to follow the few steps I told to Ekaitz.

Works for me. Just make sure dsi_srl_extractor has modcrypt enabled when generating srls. (modcrypt is where portions of the nds are encrypted)

Cake handles it already by modifying firmware.bin and replacing the sig patches, so I doubt there's still demand for it for anyone who can code kernel hax stuff in the first place.

I'd recommend to avoid the 5.x-9.2 with the intention to downgrade later. my 7.1.0-4e always gives a fatal error code 0001001 when I try to downgrade. The reason for this (based on the other people that have same error) is because the 3ds has never been updated online and only updated through cartridge.
So unless you want to always depend on browser for the exploits, I'd recommend to stick to 4.x updates that's much better. I personally used angry birds trilogy (cheap) to update to 4.3 and it works fine with mset.

If someone came out with a way to load rxtools on 5-9.2 without a browser that would be awesome. Would be cool to not always depend on internet or another device for that.

Just couple questions, I actually got emunand in 9.8 version using rxtools, I managed to do that by injecting the FBI the way you explained etc..
I understand that I should format it to return back to the 7.1 emunand, but I didn't understand this part : "inject your nand backup into it" does that mean I can restore my 9.8 emunand content? and how can I do that?
