These are the exact URLs I used to "block" updates and my console auto-updated -_-

Huh that's unfortunate :/ Well I have any kind of standby disabled on my Wii U and atleast when the Wii U is on the Download List displays that it cannot download the system update.

Who said we were delaying the release due to 5.4.0? If we followed that path we would never release anything ever again...
The 5.3.2 exploit is being developed and the E3 release claim was merely an optimistic guess from NWPlayer123. It took longer than expected, but we're finally at the ROP chain building stage (in parallel to optimizing the exploit's stability).

I mean, it updated the Webkit version finally, and patched all of our bugs, so you tell me :P Not that we had any plans to use it anyways. The new plan is probably to finish one of the Webkit bugs we're working on, get code execution on 5.3.2, get kernel exploit up and running, find some new bugs on 5.4.0, and then stockpile a bunch. Only then will we probably release anything. By then there will hopefully be a few good ones. Sorry to disappoint anyone hoping for something at E3.

Had to jump in the wagon:

If you used OpenDNS, and your ISP gives you a dynamic IP, then it's not 100% safe unlike the OpenDNS guide seems to tell.
I said few times in the openDNS guide that it's not safe to rely on this website/method because it's based on the user's IP. if your IP changes and the website is not updated then ALL access are allowed.

Using a local proxy or router is the best solution to filter access, plus it can be shutdown or enabled when you want it, you can even monitor activity if you have a proper filtering application. (CCProxy is not perfect either and doesn't log/block all URLs)

Can't they just bloody forgo 5.4.0 and make the cutoff 5.3.2 so they can get it released faster? If they keep focusing on new firmware and finding bugs for said new firmware, they'll never release it. Just saying.
Am I wrong?

@Hykem i am sorry to bug you ,but is the 5.3.2 exploit backward compatible or each firmware has its own exploit ?

The old webkit exploit only needed the rop chain updated, but nintendo updated a bunch of stuff in webkit and patched alot bugs/exploits so it needs a whole new exploit now. The kernel exploit works in every version though.
