I could have swore this thread was claimed as an update thread and not a support thread?
Somebody arbitrarily, who's not a mod, made up that rule. I don't see how you can say technical questions can't be asked here given the broad wording of the thread title.

I imagine that @motezazer, a developer for the project, can assist people more in a thread designated for the clutter of questions, than we can here.

Because some people want ''free'' piracy, I guess?
They will still need a method to install devmenu or fbi one time. I think it will be more of a shortcut tipe of thing for the cubic ninja owners. Or a borrowed cubic ninja copy to install devmenu or fbi will do the trick for those who don't have it.

Edit
Old 3ds users with 4.5 can install cias without cubic ninja using pbt cfw. Those users can get 4.5 compatible games for free using the already release 4.5 mset exploit but that stills requires a ds flashcard so spider will be the better option when it's complete.

Since this thread looks to be for Development questions...

Are there plans/ideas on how to get Pasta to display Out-of-Region GBA CIA titles on the 3DS's Menu Screen?
It's easy enough to make up Region Free versions of regular games, but none of the current CIA creators I can find are able to create a Region Free GBA game.

Since Pasta can launch the "invisible" Out-of-Region GBA titles just fine from DevMenu, I would think technically Pasta is already "Region Free".

This is because exefs contains gba rom. If only someone knew a way to rebuild 3ds rom in such a way that gba rom will not been lost.

The developpers of the project (including the OP) made this rule which is showed on the first post. This rule was made for better visibility on this thread. What do you need more?

I wasn't flaming, I was just pointing out how 1 person was disrespecting the people who maintain this post. People take other hard work for granted here and expect everything to be handed to them, I myself am guilty of waiting for the developers to do things but at least I respect their hard work and don't question their decisions in regards to how they want the thread to develop. Yet again, not flaming.

Wait a second, what use is the spider entrypoint even? All CIA installers out there depend on CN to begin with.
Title managers can be installed through network spoofing or silent installs if written into the code.

None of those terms ring a bell. Mind explaining how network spoofing is meant to help the lack of software to access am:* (especially from ARM9) or what silent installs are?

They make the gate, use Pasta to patch, then make a call to either a website, local pc, or the sd card for the installer program, then install it. Done.

Theoretically ofcourse.

If written, they would both allow for a title manager to he installed without Cubic Ninja or PBT-CFW through MSET. The network spoofing allows for a .CIA to be sent over your network to the 3DS after targeted through its IP. That is difficult to implement, so nop90 said he'd be looking into another method, leaving that on the back burner. The other method is a silent install. From what I understand, .CIA can not be installed directly from ARM9, but CAN be pointed at (Root SD with something like installme.CIA prewritten.) and installed as some of the services start at boot.

ahhhh hence the need for a fresh Nand, now it makes sense.

Another method to install a CIA manager only on o3DS was mentioned before in this post (page 160 +) which I can confirm that it will work once pasta is implemented for 9.0 firmware is this:

1) downgrade your existing NAND to 4.x
2) Set up PBT
3) install your favorite CIA manager
4) download 9.2 using 3Dnus
5) (optional) remove 3 specific files for TWL firm, DS whitelist , system settings (preserves MSET exploit on 9.2)
6) upgrade to 9.2 using sysupdater
7) !!!IMPORTANT!!! Remove the SD card just before Sysupdater restarts the 3ds once it is done updating
8) boot the 3ds without the SD card and let it set up 9.2 or 9.0
9) reinsert the SD card once it is done setting up the system
10) you should now have the CIA manager on the home menu on 9.0

Obviously, it does not launch.
But the point is that it is installed and ready to launch once pasta is up and running.
Also as a bonus , the MSET Exploit will be preserved on 9.0 but its kinda useless as nothing supports launch via MSET on 9.0

I can personally confirm that this works.
