rxTools doesn't work on CN 9.2 O3DS, can't remember if anyone else said that.

It depends on a lot if it will work on CN,
We should keep record of which version works with CN and which does not,
So, if you have cubic ninja and an O3DS, could you test 9.4 and report here your 3DS version and region, if it works with CN, if it works through the browser

I'd test 9.4 but when I manually install .cia's from 3DNUS - I brick the console -_-. I believe it's because the firm isn't correctly installed. How would it work in 9.4? Not even CN works on 9.4 sysNAND.

They are encrypted with a normal-key set by the bootrom. We don't care about keyY.

Wait, what? I thought a normalkey was the keyY set by the bootrom and called "normal" key because it's the default, and keyY is equal to the CTR in CTR mode and the IV in CBC mode. Even assuming the normalkey is known, then the CTR/IV is still missing for ctr-common-1-key.bin and ctr-common-1-cert.bin.

Ninjhax still works as an entrypoint, and always will.
Perhaps you're thinking of the kernel exploit used by the Homebrew Launcher?

Ah, yeah I'm aware of the entry point and that it can't be patched. I used to be on 9.4 sysNAND and Ninjhax would load but just open the web browser while trying to gspawn. I honestly have no idea how rxTools would work on 9.4 tbh - I'm not very educated when it comes to the 3DS's in and outs. I do recall Smealum saying on Twitter that "Ninjhax isn't dead on newer firmwares" but he could be bluffing. I dunno.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo can patch it. They patched the first two DSi savegame exploits (Cooking Mama and the other one) as well with a firmware update that discovers the exploit and removes it.

You're forgetting the DSi exploits had to be preloaded on the carts, but Ninjhax is done live.
It's in precisely the same boat as Smash Stack on the Wii.

Well, NINJHAX is both a savegame exploit and a "live exploit".

As far as I know, the savegame portion is completely optional, and is only there for convenience.

The ninjhax exploit is injected to the savegame before live hax is executed.

But you can still use Ninjhax without using your save file. You have the option not to install it to the game but it's not recommended because screw scanning that QR every time.

Try to clear history and cache, alternatively uses a compatible r4

I have a o3ds and installed 4.5 cfw pbt + its emunand was formatted by gateway 3.2. I updated my emunand with the RX Tools 2.4. when I try to launch the updated emunand by launching the RX tool, it will freeze. What am I doing wrong?
