Thx for this small tutorial.
My N3DSXL was already modified to use blue card as a ds flashcard so i could skip this step.
But... strange thing is that i don't need to use the N3DS Rop installer !
Does it depend on what ds-game you played if u have to use the rop installer ? I tried with mario kart ds.

To help getting light into that miracle here's what i had:
- N3DSXL(EU) - Zelda Edition
- SysNAND 9.0.0-20E
- EmuNAND 9.5.0-23E
- Launcher 3.1.1
- SysNAND formatted after system-transfer to emuNAND to unlink both
- Modified blacklist to be able to use blue card as a ds flashcard

Today i've done:
- Use other mSD and follow gateway-instructions to install new ds-profile exploid to sysNAND
- Replace launcher 3.1.1 with 3.2 on old mSD

Regards
Rudi

Formatted sysNAND??? You mean your 3DS doesn't have a sysNAND anymore?

Lol... of course it has a sysNAND... i just used the option in system settings to format the system. This will wipe everything from your 3ds sysNAND. It's like a reset to factory defaults if u like. But do this only if you've already done a system transfer from sysNAND to emuNAND... else you'll lose all of your data, downloaded games etc.

Then you meant "Format System Memory":

When you said that you formatted sysNAND I thought you really meant that literally.

I thought that there was an option in the Gateway menu to format sysNAND, but upon close inspection of a Youtube video of the options from v3.0.1, there's only "Format emuNAND". lol

And, that's what's called here sysnand format. ;)

Woohoo...always knew the Gateway team would come thru. I was up all night updating 2 of my old 3ds and my new3DS. Now I can give my niece my old 3ds.

question about this new BETA..

If i run DStwo in sysnand.. what happens? will i have to redo everything?

It will delete the mset exploit, but on page 25 there is a n3ds roploader that you can put on your dstwo to reinstall the mset exploit like how it was on 4.5.

anyone knows what these files for: ROPInstaller_GWU.nds & N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds ?
If your NVRAM installation doesn't work, run it with a DS flashcard after installing mset.cia file. It "should" fix the exploit. At least it did for me, because in 1 of my 2 n3DS the exploit just didn't worked.

Finally, got the rop installer to work with this :P Attached.

I can only test on USA n3ds so, EU and JPN let me know if it works for you too.

If not, please install the GW menu NVRAM installer then immediatly dump your DS profile with this app
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-nvram-flash-manager.383838/
and send it to me (just the last 0x200 bytes of your nvram, i don't want to know your wifi password :p )

Are you saying this can be used to load up the GW menu? If so do we need GW 3.2 for this or can we use GW 3.1?

is it permanent or do you have to run it every time you use ds flash card ?
Its permanent as long as you don't run a ds game, but if you do, then just rerun it and its good to go till the next ds game.
do we need to also do this on old 3dsxl if we want to switch from DS2 to Gateway?
If you are on 4.5 yes, if you are on 9.x no.

Yeah, its for 3.2, the 3.1.1 didn't have support for the n3ds mset exploit. Its just an alternate way to reinstall the mset exploit though.
