Hacking Possible to dump retail cart save and inject into sky3ds?

Assuming the unique ID is the same, would it be as simple as dumping from GW and then injecting into sky3ds? Any tool to accomplish this? Trying to remove the need for a bunch of carts. After I "lost" MM and Theatrhythm on a car rental (lost as in I called them 10 minutes after I dropped the car off because I left them in the back seat and it mysteriously disappeared) I don't want to carry around any more than one game now.

Ya it's possible you can use gateway to dump the save and then use diskwriter to restore the save onto the ROM for sky

Really? I didn't think it was that easy seeing as Sky pads out the save files and Gateway can't dump certain 6.x+ encrypted saves.

GW will dump the save in whatever format it's in, emunand just can't read it due to the keys.

GW dump is 512KB. Backup from Diskwriter is 1025KB. =/ Probably need some converter

I was able to get it to work with card1 games. For card 2 I needed to use ntr cfw to get my card2 saves to work.

EDIT: That script works! Flippin' amazing!

The only caveat was this. I was attempting to copy my retail Xenoblade and for some reason using the 4 letter CAFE did not work. I had to type out KTR-P-CAFE like so: perl skysave.pl xeno.txt CAFEorig.sav KTR-P-CAFE
