Let me get this straight, I am not used to create Topics. I am more of a poster.
Sry if this is confusing while reading.

OK, in the last couple of days, I tried to create a Special (gold pants) Mii from scratch.
I have this available:

1 WiiMote
1 Wii
1 Bluetooth USB Dongle

1 NDS
1 N3DS

I want to make a golden Mii to use on the 3DS.

Programs I use:
- "MiiTransferGui" to get the data from and back to the WiiMote via Bluetooth.
- WinHex to edit the mii-files.
- (Can't find any programs like AJ Editor or the other one).

So, I know about the ID's I have to use, which is:

Code:
0x00000000 - 0x1FFFFFFF Creates Special Mii - Gold Pants
0x20000000 - 0x3FFFFFFF Creates Normal Mii - Black Pants
0x40000000 - 0x5FFFFFFF Creates Special Mii - Gold Pants
0x60000000 - 0xBFFFFFFF Creates Normal Mii - Black Pants
0xC0000000 - 0xDFFFFFFF Creates Foreign Mii - Blue Pants (uneditable)
0xE0000000 - 0xFFFFFFFF Creates Normal Mii - Black Pants

But I didn't use any of this since I figured there must be a way to edit golden Mii like a ninty DEV.
I figured out, there must be a special combination to make a golden Mii, which allows editing like it was a normal (you own) one, regardless of "mingle".
And I somehow had this once leading to a crash on the Wii... >_>

OK, I tried to move the Mii from the WiiMote back to the Wii but it failed sending to the 3DS.
I have no idea why.

So, my request is:
- Does someone have original Nintendo golden Mii on it's console and dump me the data?
- Can someone get me the AJ Editor and the other one I forgot the name?
- Can someone explain me what will make a golden Mii vaild in a way, so I can send it to the 3DS?

What are you trying to do with the special mii? Have it for show or try to do what Nintendo does with the developers- spread it around? And I got my 3ds at launch, and never got a Nintendo special moi, just Reggie and Iwata and stuff.

For now I want to know how special Mii tick on the inside and how they have to be "valid" so I can transfer them over from the Wii to the 3DS.
Since I don't have any custom firmware on my 3DS, nor Gateway, something else, I have to rely on the Wii -> 3ds method.
And since the Wii is the most recent firmware, no homebrew channel.
(OK, should have dug deeper into the rabbit hole, as it appers Wii->3DS won't work - why? )

Thats why I wanted some dumps of the original ones, to find similarities between each of them.
There is no way to decrypt the QR-codes of the special ones, or is there?

The tick is valid only on Nintendo Employee systems and threw the ones that hacked it. The Mii transfer from Wii to 3ds won't work because the 3DS relies on the spotpass network to get special miis (hence why special miis are seen on the street pass app) and Wii did not use spot pass, but WiiConnect24. Also since Wii did not have spotpass, it did not receive special miis on the Mii channel, and doesn't have golden pants even in the code because no special miis were available in the Mii channel. The only way to get mii with golden pants to 3ds from Wii, is to homebrew Wii and change or inject code that had golden pants inside it and create the mii with the injected or changed color of golden pants.

Did someone look behind the reason why Mii cannot be moved over the the 3DS?
Does the 3DS reject it or doesn't the Wii know to handle that?

Since my N3DS has the latest firmware, I think I can't do anything (for now).
I'll look up some info.

But I have an unproofed theory.

Let's say, I'll give someone a QR-code about my Mii, and that person saves it into his Mii maker.
After editing the file, where Mii are saved, He/she turns it into a special one.
After that, that person sets it up as an streetpass Mii and accesses a special MAC.

When I access the same MAC, I should get a streetpass, which is myself.
I should be able to save that Mii from the Mii Lobby to the Mii Maker.
It should be treated as my own, thanks to having all data as my system.
(If it will be editable, I have no idea)

Will this even work?

No. What your saying is like saving Reggie, making him your default mii, and he will be your streepass mii. He won't have golden pants because the option is still unticked in the streetpass app. Plus, I don't think the gold pants exist in the Mii maker.

1. You can't set a Mii, you are not the owner of, as your own Mii. This applies to special mii as well.
2. They do.

I just need to get someone to test my theory out.

Yes, exactly my point. Getting a friend to make the mii for you won't set it as your default mii. The data won't be the same because your friend made it

Yeah, I noticed that flaw in my logic.
I wonder how this can be bypassed.

I am guessing the StreetPass Lobby keeps a copy of the Mii in its own savedata OR points to a certain Mii by its client ID.
(Since you can only set Mii, which have the same SystemID as your system)

I have to try later what happens, if you set a Mii in StreetPass and delete that from Mii Maker afterwards.
If it is still there, StreetPass Lobby makes a copy.
My 3DS just ran out of juice xD

I have also read: https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-extdata-dump-and-restore-tool-extra-data-editing.378492/

I was impressed how you guys figured that out.
Those checksum programs posted there don't work for me, though since I use 32-bit Windows. Bummer.
Any other CRC16 CCiTT caluclators i found on the net just suck, and don'T give the CRC16 I need xD

Biggedst problem is, I can't dump this CFL_DB.dat myself, since I am on the newest firmware on my N3DS.
I own no gateway or other h4x. I'd like to know my 3DS SystemID, though.

I figured out what the Mii Maker does, when sending Mii from any Wii to 3DS - they get cloned to your SystemID, so their pants turn black.
I wonder what would happen if that Wii has a Mii, which matches my 3DS.. and I send it to the 3DS. will it be saved or rejected?

You can't create a mii with same save data from 3ds on Wii because 3ds save data for mii is different from one on Wii mii save data

Oh, wow I really didn't know about Mii 1.0 and Mii 2.0 specs.

I wonder what's the difference is supposed to be, the file looks the same as the Wii one.
