Only other entrypoint is OoT3D, I'd just get Cubic Ninja and be done with it. Well supported exploit vector, well worth the money in the long run.

Yeah, the thing is I have a PAL N3DS and an American Cubic Ninja. Oh well, I guess I gotta purchase a PAL version. Thanks for the reply anyway

If you can find it under $100 US, sure. All of the Japanese copies are over 100 USD on Amazon now.

I'm curious, would it be too hard or unfeasible to write a plugin that can run the GW launcher.dat, taking you to the GW menu like when you run it with CN or OOT?

Ha, even more can be done, like, loading GW launcher.dat and entering GW mode without a GW card.

Not very feasible tbh, would take a crapton of work which almost nobody is willing to do. And why use a plugin when you can just use Cubic Ninja?

Not really, the checks for GW's card are deep in their launcher.dat, and Gateway has an ungodly amount of obfuscation protecting that.

Well, you can't have more than one exploit installed in CN at once, so people that use both GW and NTR often have to reinstall the exploits all the time, and can't do it on the go since it requires an Internet connection. Such a plugin would solve that problem.

Oh well.

That's why you should get a Sky3DS instead of Cubic Ninja. Besides, do you really want to buy Gardening/Cooking Mama just to get the 9.2 update? See, if you had a Sky, that takes care of both problems. It practically pays for itself. Especially if you've got multiple systems from multiple regions. A CN cart makes for a remarkably poor purchase by comparison. You save a little money in the short run. But you can only run one exploit at a time (need to run another without going online, that's another CN cart you have to buy), you can only use it with systems from the same region, you have to buy a game to update to 9.2, etc. It ultimately costs you more money.

I'm in the same boat as you. NTSC Cubic Ninja and PAL OoT with a PAL N3DS.

I know this is a silly question, but what about GW's Classic mode running on sysnand prevents the NTR installer from working?

My suggestion would be to e-bay both your CN and OoT. Buy a Sky3DS and spend the rest of what you make on whatever. It's a much better solution for anyone wanting to run more than one exploit.

GW keeps their entire patched FIRM encrypted somewhere in their launcher.dat. The thing is, this FIRM is the 9.5 FIRM, so memchunk hax and firmlaunch hax are patched out.

I think this should cover me fairly well for a few exploits.

Inb4. I am not greedy, I just have 3 N3DSs to support.

Hello, I am trying to use the NTR save file plugin. Since NTR CFW 2.0 is for N3DS, I am trying to look for NTR CFW that works in regular 3ds. Is NTR CFW 1.0 for regular 3ds? When I open plugin file, there is NTR 1.0 folder and when I tried to google for NTR CFW 1.0, nothing came up.

NTR CFW 2.0 does not support the Old3DS, but they will add supports for old3ds and other regions later. So yes, right now, NTR CFW 1.0 is the best choice to use for the Old3DS.

Thanks for the answer and sorry to ask, but is there a post in this forum where I can download NTR CFW 1.0? All I can find is the post for NTR CFW 2.0 and of course the NTR CFW 2.1.

Edit: I found cell9's post (https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ntr-debugger-v1-0-0.374136/) but it seems to be dead and I cannot find download link. I don't know if it is correct one either. Post says NTR Debugger v1.0 instead of NTR CFW 1.0.

welp, at least you have the PAL OoT, Just sell your CN and get a relatively cheap save dongle

Hi, I'm trying to run the "hello-world" demo on NTR cfw 2.1 and I noticed the 'plugin' menu is no longer available... are plugins still registered via plgRegisterMenuEntry?
Also, how are plugins loaded on home menu boot? I know savetool is loaded on booting a game when located in /plugin/game, are there similar requirements for home menu? Turns out it was /plugin/home
Thanks!

Thank you again! I will try to install the NTR CFW 1.0 and see if it works with the plugin.

Edit: I looked at installation process and it seems it uses gw firmware v2.2 and emunand below v5.1. I have gw firmware v.3.1.0 and emunand v9.2. Will this be a problem?
Yes, it needs to be a 4.x sysNAND/4.x emuNAND setup to work.

So, your firmware have firmware spoofing? Because alpha sapphire requires 7.2 fw (unless you do firmware spoofing of course).
It doesn't need 7.2, it just comes with 7.2. It uses the 6.x encryption standard.

Better not trying to export KeyY 6.0 saves with NTR 1.0 + save plugin.
If memory serves, NTR 1 does indeed provide 6.x spoofing.
