I remember when I used to hack phones and if we could not unlock the boot loader we would use a bootstrap method I wonder if that could be used for the n3ds emunand?

Yeah I expected the same and it was strange to see no one talking about the possibility for Nintendo to fix the new encryption for N3DS.
Well I still have my O3DS XL and my N3DS is on emunand 9.5.

I know things look dim at the moment for us n3ds users. But gateway has pulled though before and got the keys but it took month's. If nintendo changes the key every update then we are fucked.

GW getting 7.0 keys required them being able to hack the 7.0 firmware and re-generate the 0x2C KeyX. They (and everyone else) will need 9.6+ hax to be able to get around this crypto, but at that point it won't even matter any more.

but when ever there's an update, when is the last time sky got blocked and gateway emunand didn't, that would be interesting.
