I attempted to do a system transfer from my XL emunand to N3DS XL emunand, but I think something must've gotten screwed up since nothing shows up on the home screen despite the settings claiming 34 GBs are being used out of 64. I had roughly 30 retail CIAs installed, so I'm hoping I don't have to do that all over again.

Oh the ironi the only game i have playt on my new 3ds from the day i have is the one with the exploid...can we somehow only erase 1 save? I want to keep my masterquest save...

I haven't tried that yet, but I did backup my save using Gateway on another 3DS first before overwriting with the exploit. I tried the exploit on my N3DS, it worked and then I restored my original save back to my Zelda cart so I can finish the game

Everyone needs to stop crying about having to use Ocarina of Time.. i bet most of you don't even own a real 3ds game so support Nin and buy 1 game (so happens to be the best one too). If you don't want to spend the money than just WAIT. They said that they are working on a cubicninja exploit and eventually you may be able to use an online method or even offline mii method.. chill da fuk out homiez and let our brothas at Gateway do their work. In the mean while lemme play some majora's mask on my n3ds with face tracking

I am about to leave Japan and the prices of a new 3ds LL here are the decent ones (180 dollars).


If I buy one here, will it be possible to be able to use GW on my 3ds (the first one and USA) which is in my home town, just to get the save explained on the guide???


Or there will be another method that doesnt include zelda OoT USA? Yes, I own the game in cart. But since the other thread many people didnt get it to work I get worried of getting a japanese n3ds LL.

Hi everyone,

So I am new to gateway3ds and am wondering about the procedure on how to update and operate on the N3DS.

So far, I think the procedure is as follows:

1. Update firmware of gateway using blue card
2. Place launcher.dat on the root of the N3DS sd card
3. Use save file provided to update save of oot using save dongle
4. Place oot in N3ds and load game
5. put in red card and load gateway
6. backup up sysnand
7. create emunand and update
8. Play games using red card

Only questions I have is,
can i update the gateway firmware using blue card BEFORE using the oot method or do I need to use oot method and then load the blue card to update?
is there any use for blue card after update? or should I just use the red card.

I have all, a old 3ds xl with gateway, Zelda, a powersave and n3ds xl but one thing is bad my sysnand ... I am on 9.5 i hope they will support it.

To whoever this may concern,

In regards to the new update for the new 3DS compatibility, I wish the best of luck on all your efforts. Reverse engineering takes a lot of time and many users have taken that for granted. My only concern is the release window that is being given. Many users such as myself would be willing to wait longer in anticipation if we had an accurate time window. 3 months ago emails came out saying the update would be out in days, yet time has passed with no accurate ETA. Unfortunately due to this, many users have gone to other competitors and have lost hope. However, there still are many Gateway users such as myself, who have not given up on you. My only request is that a more realistic and accurate window was given. I hope you understand my request and if it cannot be granted I also understand that as well. Best of luck to all of you and long live Gateway 3DS (the FIRST 3DS flashcart)

ib4 Nintendo pulls OoT eShop and fixes said exploit

If I don't have a save dongle can't I just boot to gateway menu and load the save file using the gateway menu on my 3DS XL?

Is there a way that I can use my Zelda OOT save from my cart and continue using it with my rom dump on my Gateway? I want to use the Gateway, but still want to be able to continue my Zelda save.

Just to be 100% certain; this still requires a GW card doesn't it?

EDIT: I mean, if you have a 3DS (on the right FW) and Zelda, you still need the *a* card to do anything.

If you copy back the SD card content, the game reappear on sysnand (didn't know that).
