Forgive me for my ignorance, but what issues did he encounter and what'd he do to get sound working?
EDIT: also, sorry for off topic, but I'm quite curious.
EDIT: I'm quite excited with how this is all going. Started reading the source and am trying to understand everything.

Sound on N3DS can be achieved in two way:
RE DSP service or accessing SAFE_MODE (or, don't know if it is possible, maybe KARL3DS devs could answer this, replacing csnd:SND calls to use SAFE_CSND service instead of absent CSND System Module http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Title_list#00040130_-_System_Modules ).

Yes, it will remain private for now. And his was an Old 3DS, only me and Relys have an N3DS to test with. I'll probably test it on N3DS tonight.

also, another question, does the Firmloader homebrew has a 100% boot rate at the moment ? if so, it is impressive

Holy shit, nice job team! Beating Gateway to the punch is amazing! Does this emunand support region free yet, or is it just straight emunand? Still super excited for that 8.1 support too! :grog:
Well we have to decrypt the ARM9 kernel still, but once we do that we can do region free easily.

So does it load from a launcher.dat, or is it just straight launching emunand?

That's an implementation detail and largely irrelevant. Eventually if we roll a 3dsx loader it will require a file on the SD card just like the rest of the entry points.

The answer currently is: neither. :P

alright, so it'll be similar to ninjhax in that it boots .3dsx files, but it'll also have a emunand, which allows full access to the system hardware, while also allowing the user to utilize sleep mode and the home menu while using homebrew. Correct?

No, that's not what I said at all, we were discussing the loader, not features of the firmware. The latter is still up for debate.
