Hi, i have the same issues :(

What game were you playing: Super Smash Bros for 3DS

What was your sysNAND firmware version when playing: 4.4

What was your emuNAND firmware version when playing: 9.5

Were you using a .CIA or a .3DZ: .3DZ

If you were using a .3DZ file, what type of header were you using: ?
If you were using a .3DZ file, was the header public or private: public

Can you visit other online Nintendo services such as eShop and Miiverse: just the eShop

Does that ban apply to just that game or every online game you try: Every online game (Pokemon ORAS, Bravely Default, Mario Kart 7, Dead or Alive Dimention etc..)

Additional info:

It started this morning, i have .3DZ and .CIA games and the online mode don't work. I don't know if they banned the MAC or the NNID. I have the sysNAND and the emuNAND unlinked so i'll wait and see the development of this situation and i will do some test to see if there is a chance to get back the online...

Users earlier in the thread have reported that wiping emuNAND has not removed the ban. Interested in what other tests you'd try to do to get around it, though.

I hope you don't mind me using your list on the first post? I'm greatful you're keeping up with it as I seem to miss some info, so thanks :)

Sure, feel free to use it! On page 1 it has a wider audience, so this is a good thing. Glad I can help putting some light on all this! :)

hmmn... the list on first page says that only those with public headers have this issue, right?? so, in theory, while I still using CIA's and private headers, I would be safe?

In theory .. Yeah. Until someone breaks that theory. Which could be you .. People have said they have switched to .cia recently and still got banned because they were using public headers 5 days before .. So you never know.

ok, we'll wait for the answer that Nintendo will give you about you error code, good luck!

Hi, I'm not sure where to ask, but can I use RE: Revelations as source of private header? It's 4GB, I think, and should have online mode, so it's good, right?

New ban in spanish forum. New 3DS (AUS) with sky3ds (public headers)

Fill out the forum, in english if possible.

Is it a private header or a public header?

Yeah, any retail game can be used for its private header. If the size isn't correct for the target game, the Gateway ROM patcher will fix the header data to be correct automatically. Assuming you are using a Gateway and not Sky3DS, anyway.

So its safe to say that Nintendo managed to find a way to detect ROM emulation right?
That or they're just detecting headers when you connect to online features in games. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nobody who has only used public headers to play ROMs offline (while still leaving wifi on) has been banned yet.

Then the other question becomes: do they only read headers when you first connect to determine if there's already someone else out there playing with a duplicate header? Or are they constantly scanning for duplicate headers across the region/world?

My New3DS appears to be banned. Error 002-0102 with al my original games with online.

Previously I used a Sky3DS in firmware 9.4 with roms with public header.
