-Triforce games don't work with the Bios (hopefully an option to enable/disable the bios will be implemented so that it will solve this problem) for now you have to delete the bios file (or move it somewhere other than the roots) every time you wanna play Triforce.
.

The Triforce uses a very different IPL furthermore it loads Sega Boot from the internal memory of the system and doesn't run a game directly.
Sega Boot then loads the game into RAM and runs it.

Does anyone have the PAL bios working? USA and JAP ones work fine but every PAL game black screens. I love this addition to Nintendont; it makes it a true authentic GameCube experience (hope PAL support will work in future). Maybe the Triforce bios could be used (although difficult to obtain a Triforce bios legally unless your FIX or have the hardware).

crediar lol I'm fully aware of the fact Triforce uses a different IPL by SEGA, hence the term "TriForce" which are SEGA, Namco, and Nintendo, I was simply pointing out that with the bios being enabled these games will not run so an option to enable/disable the bios would be appropriate here.

Drak0rex I don't think vanilla PSO should be neglected since most people got that version instead, that's my opinion anyway.
Speaking of which, does the game use a code that is so significantly different from the plus version that it still doesn't run? Someone with better knowledge can explain this, please? I'm curious.

Whole new year of updates and fun, can't wait. Just a question though, i saw on the front page that GBA-link is supported, but it's only for original wiis right? Since the Gamecube controller adapter is HID and naive controls disables HID. Is anyone working on getting GBA-link going on the GCA or is just not a thing possible with it. Been looking for it but I may have missed it searching this thread.

Why doesn't the Wii U widescreen setting make the game fill the entire screen or proper 4:3? There are small black bars on left and right side, so whether the feature is off or on, Nintendont and the games it plays are either too stretched or too squished. Sorry if this is a stupid question. XP

EDIT: Forgot to mention that messing around with my TV settings didn't fix it and my Gamepad shows the same problem.

Even Nintendo says to put your receiver in Dolby Pro Logic 2 mode manually. They added support for dolby pro logic 2 on vwii when they released version 4.0 of the Wii U OS

So, what all does it mean? The receiver is doing the convertion to DPII via DSP, it still get "not fake" DPII surround, you can easily test it in Rogue Leader (GCN), GoldenEye (Wii), the channels are separate accordling... :wtf:

And if that's the case... Could that be happening as well with Wii backups? (Not getting played as progressive just because the system doesn't "know" we're using component /HDMI)
But it does "know" because in Wii U settings you selected interlaced or progressive, in Wii you just need set up 480p in setting to get games working in progressive scan mode. Gamecube is different because there is not main setting for progressive scan, natively you did need hold B to set progressive scan on, in some games as Rogue Leader there was an option in-game too.

the adapter is hid so it turns gc controller signs into hid the thing is gba link cable has no signal when connected to the adapter not a single hid signal appears which means the adapter cant reade the gba link cable inputs only controllers.

Does anyone have the PAL bios working?

So for me the pal bios only works with video mode on auto and even then sometimes, randomly the 1.0 pal bios doesnt work. The 1.2 pal bios though works stable. BTW even if you have the panasonic q bios rom file that will work just as good as the regular gc bios, they seem to be equal.
edit: nevermind, now on the next day even the 1.2 version is unstable, this pal one is so weird, it just doesnt wanna behave...

Alrighty, then I'll just stick to GBA link on my regular wii. Thank you very much for the reply

Regarding the IPL stuff: If I remember correctly, both USA and JPN consoles have the exact same IPL; the only difference is a region switch. (This is why you can add a single switch to an NTSC GameCube to switch between USA and JPN regions.)

This should make it unnecessary to have both iplusa.bin and ipljap.bin; a single iplntsc.bin would work.

(I haven't verified this; I don't have a copy of all the IPLs to check.)

Also, I remember reading that DOL-101 systems use a slightly different version of the IPL, as do DOL-002 (Brazilian Portuguese) systems.

Either way, this is still a nifty addition for nostalgic purposes. :)

You were right.
That's a very, VERY stupid move (another one) on Nintendo's part.
If they're using a lossless digital transfer medium such as HDMI why not include the corresponding flags for auto surround? EVERYTHING else does (yeah, that includes "old" consoles such as the original XBOX)
All they have to do is include the ability to just feed the unaltered audio track to the receiver (namely BITSTREAM) and that would be it.
For example if I set explicitly PCM on my PS3 or BD Player , Dolby audio tracks get downconverted automatically to stereo.
That is similar to what the Wiiu is doing...
Nintendo should work in getting their sh*t together if they want to have a chance against the other 2 systems....
Another question (unrelated to audio). Would you happen to know why is it that if one launches an NGC game from within CFG the popup asking if one wants to use progressive mode does not appear but if launched from Nintendon't directly it does? What is changing? Is the flag (yeah, again with the word) not getting trough? You know, the one that says we're using "component" (although it is actually HDMI) so the game asks for progressive mode? And if that's the case... Could that be happening as well with Wii backups? (Not getting played as progressive just because the system doesn't "know" we're using component /HDMI)
Thanks for all the help man.
I really appreciate it.

yeah i think that may be be a problem with CFG. I recommend changing to USB loader GX works perfectly

So, what all does it mean? The receiver is doing the convertion to DPII via DSP, it still get "not fake" DPII surround, you can easily test it in Rogue Leader (GCN), GoldenEye (Wii), the channels are separate accordling... :wtf:

the receiver is supposed to do the conversion, when you put surround/pro logic 2 on a gamecube games you are simply telling the game to include the correct flags in the stereo feed so that the receiver does a better job.

I'm playing WW right now and It plays normal, and I don't think that a throttle option can be added. This is not an emulator

So, Mr. Driller Drill Land is now working with MCEmu? With r275\USBLoaderGX, it's still freezing after cold booting just like it always does. Keep in mind that loading the save without cold booting first doesn't count. Someone please confirm and post setup. Thanks.

I have a simple suggestion; when using native controls we can't use the exit combo but that doesn't really mean it is impossible to use, right? So could exiting be enabled with the power button(on the console)? This would make native controls a bit more useful for testing or otherwise.
