Yeah I already have F8 and 98 for the majority of games. EEPROM still says YES for everything other than Pokemon and I suspect that's just because of the nature of the game. Nothing's changed :S

I was wandering how you able to change those game that previously written as eeprom=yes to eeprom=no. I have use it with the sky3dsctool and change the value to F8 and 98 but still show as eeprom=yes. It seem that those game that was backup using the previous diskwriter have issue converting it to eeprom=no. I am saying before sky3dstool being introduce by sky3ds .

Ok. I've read through this thread and I'm a bit confused about something. Or maybe just unsure of what I can do.

I understand that this will allow me to store and play more than 10 games on a single microSD card. But, will it allow me to use more than one SD card on a single Sky3DS? I have yet to use up all 10 spots on my card, but when I do I won't have much (if any) more room for other games. If I get another microSD card and fill it with EEPROM=NO games, will they work as they should or will the skip bug still be a concern?

Thanks. :)

I'm still working on trying to figure that out. Not having much luck yet. As of right now, I think you'll run in to the skip bug after you use up your 10 games and/or switch to another SD.

@PHIL the converting problum is you. there is usually more then one block of code the game runs from, you have to change them all. in my template i made, i changed literally every single rom (that was on the list). so everything works ..... (hold on that and read on)

@absnthee you can hold more then 10, but things are highly likely to start bugging out. instead have a second micro sd. also, specific games, simply by being added, can corrupt everything. likly a writer bug with those titles. instead, use the second micro as a test dummy. add a game you know works, then the new one. if it can't load, skips, or can't load its save, its a bad one. otherwise, you can add it to the main card.

in short, not only can you, but you most definitely SHOULD have two micro sd cards. the second only has to be like 8 GB tho.the main one should be 16 or 32 gigs.

Alright. Thanks for the reply.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll mess around and see how things work out.

So do the games on card #1 skip or just the games on card #2?

Maybe I am hitting some sort of theoretical maximum. I'm unable (as of yet) to find more than 8 ROMs that I can put on without the skipping problem.
Just card 2 skip since its 11-15

I keep them separate since last time mixing them up got my first card stuck

Would you be able to copy one of the 1 - 10 games from the first card to the second card to see if it skips? This could help prove that Sky3ds keeps an internal listing of games.

okay now i'm really confused, a game i was certain a corrupter is now fine. so, i want some help. occasionally when adding a game to a micro sd, the game won't be read on the 3ds, then when you check, usually some games are missing, and it also says 0MB of space left on the micro SD, and its gotta be reformatted.

i want to find out what triggers this bug, its literally the worst. LITERALLY THE WORST. its far worse then any scrolling bug ever.

I had that happen once and I reformatted. Then it happened again. I unplugged the MicroSD and the adapter, then reseated everything. I ran the software - same thing 0 free. Closed and reopened the software - all was well.

added one game from 1-10, it loaded on it, basically like usual it skips everything and stops on the terrible 10 choices i made first

what do you mean by reseated? and.. your saying i can just keep reopening the software till it gets fixed?

please be true..because oh my god...i would feel so blessed to come upon this knowledge :grog:

OK, I can also confirm that even though you don't write games to your microSD with EEPROM = "YES", the Sky3DS still keeps those games as the first 10. These games will remain skip free, but all other games added will skip, no matter what variety of template, EEPROM YES/NO, DiskWriter version, etc.

At this point, for anyone who is on the fence about Sky3DS, I cannot recommend it. In it's current form is a real piece of 54!7. Hopefully the boys at GW will come through with a better solution for >v4.5 sysnand users.

Anyone thinking about Sky3DS, save your money for now.

Reseat the microSD and the reader. Make sure the contacts are tight and reopen the DiskWriter software. Yes.

Like I said, I formatted the first time. But the second time I got it to come back and show the correct free space.

donkey, i got the bug via tetris (we sure can rely on tetris to corrupt literally everything hu) and its just always reading 0..

pdate: i surrender on tetris, its hyper corrupt. let me cause the bug via some other titles if i can

i'm basically convinced you just rerunning the program and it fixing 0mb bug was miracle luck, i tried atleast 50 times with different games and nothing.

All game work fine for me. All games in regardless eeprom=yes or eeprom=no seem working fine and so do the save game not corrupted. I guess it only you, maybe the microsd need to be formatted with windows or Panasonic sdformatter. Reformat again with the diskwriter software and it will work fine.

What brand and size are your respective microSD cards?

Maybe it has something to do with semi-incompatible microSD too?

sidenote: My Sky3DS was supposed to arrive today. it didn't. checked tracking number and called the post office and it's apparently lost in the post...

its a normal micro sd. i'm testing games to see if they are corruptors on the second, then adding them to the first if its okay.

so far, only tetris is a true corruptor. altho i did get a error on NSMB2 but it was a read error, so its likly i need to just redownload the rom...tho it did make the 0MB bug

interestingly, i just found out kid icarus uprising has a ...interesting bug....you can 'switch' to it but it doesn't appear, at all, but it doesn't scroll past or anything, nor does it make 0mb bug. you can scroll past it to a actual game, and that one will appear. i'm re-trying the game to see if maybe it got a bad burn, as nothing really bad happened, nothing corrupted or anything. (and i wanna play it)

I using kingston class 10 microsd 16Gb. Both game kid icarus uprising and NSMB2 work and save fine. Tested on eeprom=yes and eeprom=no. Most probably you just need to format your microsd or switch to brand like kingston or sandisk.

i AM using sandisk

also after two tries, i'm getting strange errors that seem to be unrelated to my micro sd or games ... maybe? getting late, and maybe my pc just needs a restart.

my new bug, is write anything to my alt micro sd, remove and then check it, and it says its not formatted, and acts like it has its full memory back.

i'm tired, ughh, niiiight., more tomorrow.

it works, but when i play pokemon alpha sapphire it saves and later the screen goes black. But at least it saves the data. the black screen is the only problem. Also when I play Zelda it suddenly gave me infinite lives and I could not get killed.
