When "Nintendont kernel looping, loading game..." shows up I have to press Buttons on my HID controller each time something is read from the "disc"
For example when Mario Kart DD intro is playing it stucks when I stop pressing buttons on my controller.

-normal Wii
-started from HBC
-tested r229 and r234

my controller.ini:
Code:
[test]
VID=0F30
PID=0110
Polltype=1
DPAD=1
DigitalLR=1
A=4,80
B=4,40
X=4,20
Y=4,10
Z=5,02
L=5,01
R=5,04
S=5,20
Power=5,10
Left=4,07
Down=4,05
Right=4,03
Up=4,01
RightUp=4,02
DownRight=4,04
DownLeft=4,06
UpLeft=4,08
StickX=0

That seems similar to the issue I encountered with my nvidia shield tablet controller. Could you try mario sunshine?

I don't have this game, sry. But I also tested with Mario Party 7 - same issue.
I also tested loading from SD and USB. When using USB the HDD light (activity) only blinks each time I press a button on the controller

does anyone know how I can make my games smaller? (compress)

Look up a Windows app called "DMToolbox" and run the installer. After that, set format to "optimized" and align to "auto" and feed the .iso through it. Or, if you're willing to get shady(ish), then you can try to find a pre-reduced copy on the internet. (I personally prefer and recommend ripping your own games). By the by, this actually is not compression, but simply removing data that is not essential for the game to load. As such, this sometimes will lead to issues with compatibility with Nintendont, but most games run just fine when reduced.

Depends on the game. All GameCube .isos start out as ~1.4Gb. I believe, for example, that you can get Mario Kart: Double Dash down to roughly around 600Mb. Like I said, results vary from game to game, as some require more data than others, but if you have a large collection, the saved space really adds up

Sweet! Good luck! I've had MarioKart: Double Dash!! running flawlessly for quite some time now, both as consolation to you and a huge thank you to the devs. They're doing work transcending any expectations of mine, even when they were sky high already. Seriously, you're doing some incredible work, guys!

Personally, I don't care about Alpha or Beta versions of a game if we already have the full version working. :v
But he found a way to make it work, so that's a pro... I think. XD
Perhaps you could do the same too, try adding the game to one of the exceptions list to see if that makes it work properly.
Fair enough, what about Sonic Adventure? SuperrSonic found out that the crash that happens in the Chao race is caused by natvie controls being off, maybe this game can have an exception to remove the reset combo might fix it and goes back to green in the compatibility list, unfortunately I'm not a coder so I can't test it but maybe someone can try this.

Thanks to everyone who donated, I've received enough money to buy jamen a replacement drive. If you aren't already on my beta list, just PM me the email you donated with (as confirmation) and I'll add you to the conversation. I don't have anything special at the moment, but whenever I'm working on something new (the UI and the update system for example) I make it available.

It is actually removing what's called garbage data which is useless random bytes which serve no purpose other than to pad the ISO however some games do use this to check for ISO modifications, although not many. I do know that PSO I and II won't work if shrunk.

Luigi's Mansion NTSC is about 200MB when shrunk, the PAL version is less than 300MB due to the inclusion of extra languages. Melee takes up almost the entire 1.36GB. Wii Sports only takes up less than 100MB on a 4.36GB ISO. Every game is different but I highly suggest you check the compatibility list to see if a game works when shrunk. For some reason some games work but run slower when shrunk.
When I get a donation, PayPal gives a name and email. They also list how much they decided to skim off the top. It's not a fixed percentage for some reason. :glare:

I use PayPal and I get charged 30 cents plus 2.9% of the total if it's under a certain amount.

It's at least 10% on the receiving end.
