Thanks!

I think I will be looking in mk7 custom tracks aswell, just as I did with mkds, for when repacking roms becomes possible.
(The program can then be used for mkds and mk7 hacking)

How hard do you think it would be to port tracks in MKWii format to the MK7 format?

Also, judging by what CollosalPokemon said, it shouldn't be hard to created a repacker-encrypter (by those who know how to program, of course).

I already have the repacking process automated and the dumping/decryption process almost automated (obviously there has to be a 3ds middleman).

fwiw I don't intend to release the tools since my sources aren't very well made. Most of it was just lazily thrown together this weekend. If I release anything, I'd like to make a clean source to distribute. I just wanted to report that recompiling games works if you do it right, since Relys asked. As for recompiling the RomFS, try looking at the source code of ctrtool (neimod) to see how the RomFS is structured or makerom (3DSGuy) which has an incomplete recompiler.

I don't think it should be very difficult. I will probably add a mkwii plugin later on, for conversion (probably back aswell). But I am not sure.

I might look into opening and saving or repacking 3ds files (with 0 key), when there is a need for it.

I might look into it when my gateway(finally broke down and bought one since it seems unlikely that a way to load homebrew is coming any time soon) arrives.

I could test it for you in the meantime if you don't mind.

There was a command line tool for the Wii that I forget the name of, but you can just point it to the dumped rom directory and it would package it up as an iso for you. Something like that would be amazingly useful.

Something like ndstool, would be great indeed! (3dstool :D) I have always worked with unpacked roms when editing mkds.

This tool sounds amazing, dude! I've always wanted a program that would view all the different Nintendo model formats in one program! (Well, this probably isn't gonna view N64 stuff, but that's a whole different beast.)

Anyways, will you be adding animation playback at some point? Because if you do I hope you'll add animation export support. Barely any programs allow you to save, for example, animations from Twilight Princess to an animation software.

If it doesn't that's okay too. :)

Thanks for the software!

Yeah, it would be great, but it seems Gericom doesn't like open source stuffs :/

I think the main program and libeveryfileexplorer will be open source (it will be github if I do it). Not sure about the plugins yet.

Does github have a plugin for visual studio 2010?

Something's not working right.

I got some model files from Animal Crossing: New Leaf that I want to convert. I already tried two files (alp.bcres and sza.bcres). I decompressed them using those Wii tools, then renamed them to .narc, but whenever I open them with MKDS Course Modifier, nothing shows up.

What's going on?

Most likely the format is different thaan what they used years ago.
