Hello gbatemp,

I seem to be having some issues lately. I have not played my 3ds in a month or two because i started college. Now, I try to play mario and luigi dream team and I seam to be having 1 of 2 issues. First, I start the game from my 3ds menu and I seem to get a "save data corrupted" error and it tells me it must be overwritten. My second issue is that if I manage to bypass the save corrupted issue, as soon as i load my file in dream team, i get the "the game card was removed. press the home button to return to the home menu." error.

What can i do about this? I really, really do not want to lose any of my saves. I have noticed this issue only with dream team although i have not tested all of my games but some. Dream team is a trimmed rom, but so is every other rom that I have and they seem to be showing no issue.

So, what do you guys suggest I do? I feel like im in a bad position right now :(

Got any better ideas? lol

Honestly, fragmentation issues are common when transferring games to and from the micro SD card. So if you'd transferred files to/from your SD card after having added MaL: DT (and haven't played it until now), then the issue might've happened back then and you're just seeing it now. I think the workaround is, if you're trying to add games: move your entire library off your micro SD, and move it all back including whatever it is you wanna add. Honestly, I haven't added a new game in many months (been too busy playing my backlog), so I haven't really tested this myself yet. But I think this was one of the methods I've read about that some people had tried and claim it worked.

Edit: That work around is a preventative measure, though. It most likely wouldn't help you now. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :( But definitely try what zakelong81 said and see if it works.

That would only work if one or more of your game icons are white.
Don't think it works with saves.

never mind just read over it again and it sounds like you might possibly be having intermittent SPI issues......but then it would do it on all games not just one, as the post above suggested try running diagnostics a few times and see if you get spi fails at any point

Yeah, SPI failure was the first thing i tought after reading this post... I don't know why, it may be related to the fact that i have SPI failure, too! ;)

Anyway, some days ago i saw a youtube video that shows how to fix intermittent SPI failure by pressing somewhere on Gateway card... It may work...

might of been the video i made, if it does turn out to be spi issues, it would be worth a shot, but there's no exact art to it, just rinse and repeat until you either get it working or give up and stick to converting all your games to card2

Yeah, it was your video! So, if @OP 's issue is related to SPI flash failure, then you should use Snailface 's Card1to2 converter, which allows you to convert games to card2 save type and to not use SPI Flash anymore.
