Actually, I don't think it's possible to play new leaf online unless you've already downloaded the game updates. I tried updating a few days ago. When you click the update button, I think it redirects to the eShop since it prompted me to update my system. Currently, 8.0 doesn't work with emunand, and you can't access eShop on older versions.

EDIT: Either way, if the manufacturer is wrong, you can change that without losing your save. If you change the Chip ID, it's fine. But if you change the Cart ID, the save will no longer work.

Ohhh, right. There's that obstacle as well... There is plenty of stuff that hinders me right now to test it out... Which makes it all the more important to know beforehand that I didn't mess it up, so I won't have to redo it and lose my save of X days.

I have searched the thread to check if animal crossing is working. I want to make sure it is working before starting a town. So anyway, some says it worked, but some says it doesn't. I tried injecting my bin file anyway from mario kart 7 and used auto correct. the game loads fine but then when I go to update data to check online function it almost immediately gives me error code 005-4270 saying an error has occured. Is this due to me having no emunand cause I did not use that format function. still on 4.4 fw btw

The update is a lie. I can confirm that EU rom does not need the update to connect online

You can't use the update function because that requires connecting to the eshop. And to connect to the eshop you need to be on the latest firmware.
And as I said ^, I doubt the update function is even necessary to go online for AC.

Yeah, the japanese update fixed a few glitches.
English versions of AC are prepatched with that particular patch though.

yeah they patched the duplication bug, i made lots and lots of money using that haha.
but all i have to do is take out the sd card and then put it back in once the game has loaded, so the 1.1 update doesn't get used
but i think after a while people found how to copy items on all regions anyway, but it involves two people i think

Try this header.
Do note that this is a public header and it'll erase your save if you apply it to a rom which already has a save file on it.

But I think I had the best town layout and it has stitches on it. Grr anyway, do you think my header isn't good? I got it from my own dump which is Mario Kart 7 or MH3U, I couldn't remember but I have both and I dumped it using my gateway. also they are both card 1

Backup your current rom and try it on a clean one.
I suspect that your header isn't edited properly.

Try changing the chip ID I think you can change that without causing the save to be deleted

I suspect that your header isn't edited properly.

The auto correct doesn't always get the chipID correct, use the program you injected the header with to manually change the ChipID, there is only 3 possibilities iirc

Does it matter which game I pull the header from at all?

I got MK7 going with a Sonic Generations header.
