You took all of the files out of the _dstwo folder and put them on to the root which isn't correct.

Sweet finally works, least I didn't have to call this local game shop owner and ask for a dslite.
Now that its fixed I can continue my rom hack projects and show casing other peoples work on another forum.

Yes, it's safe. I have done it a few times without any problems.
And yes, in ideal situation you should update your dstwo before updating 3ds.

Within 24-48 hours, usually.

The SC team is very fast on updating their card to work.

perfect, it's not perfect..., i do not own a "r4 sdxc ultra omega 4ds realtime save upgrade" (a r4 clone) but i am very happy with dstwo and i wouldn't change. there were things i would like to get improved but ho well, perfection is not perfect~
worth the money, yes it does <3 i find the price just right for the functions it provides me.

if the dstwo already support your 3ds you can update the dstwo on the 3ds and update the 3ds to the last firmware

if your dstwo got a old firmware and doesn't work on the 3ds, you need a ds\dslite to update your dstwo so its compatible with the 3ds

what version is your 3ds?

edit: note, if the card does show up on the 3ds but says something like "error please power off the console" you can use the 3ds to update it, but its risky you can brick it. use this metod ONLY if you can't have access to a ds\dslite or a dsi which supports the dstwo

Quick q while I wait for mine to arrive - should save files for DS games be named .sav or .nds.sav ?
Compatible with saves from an R4i, right?

I just received my cart, updated it on my DSi, and while it works fine there, I only get an error message on my 3DS.

DSi compatibility is based on the files on the sd card, 3DS compatibility is based on the firmware in the DSTWO. My guess is you don't have the latest firmware installed.

Is it possible to lock DSgame to a certain folder? I want to launch from imenu, and only be able to browse through the DS games. In essence, I want the DS folder to be read as the root.

When it is said to extract all the files to the root. I unzip the atrchive and see a folder with EOS,should I simply put a folder to the root, or open the folder,see the files,and extract them?

because the EOS is not the firmware.

and a dstwo can't be bricked like that. you can install which firmware\eos you want.

a console blocking the card is not a brick.

I was gifted a Supercard DStwo and I'm getting the error message on my 3DS XL version 7.2.17u I believe. I'm not sure what firmware the card is on, I have nothing else to test it with. I see the game icon but get the 'error' when I launch it. I tried formatting the card with the recommended tools, and upgrading the firmware with the 'don't touch it for 5 minutes' method, but nothing seems to effect it. I've tried cleaning the contacts and all that good stuff.
The game shows every time in my 3ds menu, but errors when launched. Any ideas what I can do? I tried patching it with 1.19 firmware, should I just go to the latest 1.25 with the rename and leave for 3-5 minutes method?
