Also you have to bear in mind that with the S7300 the analogue controls and digital controls are tied together I believe. So you wont be able to get analogue control and then use the Dpad as the N64 would. Its one or the other.
Having said that though, N64 android emulation is pretty ropey. Apart from the customary Mario 64 and Zelda, not much works very well.
Mirrors my experience to a T lol
So much so that I just uninstalled it, I also uninstalled the TG-16 emu too
Amazingly it seems like Dreamcast emulation is actually better (still not good enough for me to bother keeping.)
TBH, I've never even found an N64 emulator which works what I'd call "well" even on a PC. Certainly no where near the standards set by PSX emulation, or even PS2 and Gamecube emus. I think they just got so far with them then for some reason they never got improved upon. But yeah, N64 on android isn't too hot. Agree with Dreamcast though, thats coming on leaps and bounds. PPSSPP is also very good now with a lot of games running totally smooth like Monster Hunter Freedom, Kingdom Hearts etc all running full speed.
On the PC way back in the day I used to use hmmmm brain fart here lol but it had HLE and you had to have a voodoo card that one worked the best in my opinion. To this day it felt closest to playing on my actual machine.
You're probably thinking of UltraHLE, that used those infamous Voodoo GPUs, N64 emulation has gotten a lot better since then. Mupen64 Plus is one of the best emulation-wise. There are plugins that emulate the 3DFX API and emulate the alpha dithering effects (the invisible Mario dissolve effects) and such
That's the one, compatibility was decent but when it worked it was buttery smooth lol
