Hello,

I started playing the original Assassin's Creed on 360 last night. I played for a few hours but found it so repetitive that I've stopped playing. I can't remember the last time I gave up on playing a game because I was so fed up with it. I'm wondering if anyone has similar experiences and whether they found a later game enjoyable.

Assassin's Creed put the "ass" in "Assassin" twice over.

I kinda enjoyed it when I played it, but it's not a very good game at all. Honestly, you can just skip it and go straight to Assassin's Creed II, and then maybe Assassin's Creed Brotherhood after that if you're still in the mood. Stop there and you'll be set.

Agreed on the 'skip AC1-go straight to AC2'.
Basically everything in the series is wonderful EXCEPT AC1 and AC3. All the other games are well worth playing, very fun and the worlds just look awesome.

AC1 was decent, but just so ridiculous repetitive and the same thing all over again, that I grew tired of it. AC2 was wonderful, so so good

A little late to the party, eh?

I enjoyed it even though it was repetitive. AC2 was more of a brawler, with stealth being unviable for most things and even when it was, there was very little reason to ACTUALLY use stealth.
Never even bothered with AC3 because of that.

Assassin's Creed is like the most unstealthy game ever.

Not trying to criticize you because it should be stealthy but stealth is literally useless. You get into a fight and you'll kill everyone instantly anyway.

Yeeah. I just felt AC1 tried a little harder to encourage stealth. I mean you COULD still just rush in a butcher everyone, but hey. After that they just said "fuck it" and didn't even bother, which is a real shame. Combat is definitely not the series' strong suit.
Pretty much why I dropped it after 2.

The original is the best one.

Somehow, AC2 looks worse and just plays the same. I don't wanna play the same game twice. And I couldn't care less about Ezio. So fuck AC2.
