So i'm another guy who's late to the party.
i currently have a softmodded Wii with many games at my disposal.
in the past, i've played Bomberman Blast, Goldeneye, Excitebots, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, Castlevania Judgement, Mario Kart, Conduit 1/2, and Sonic All Stars racing online.
to be honest, if i could just play GE, EB, and TvC forever, i'd be happy :P

i have a Windows 7 laptop, though networking is not my forte, what can i do to help?

Hey guys I have a question. I haven't read through the thread so please forgive me if it's been mentioned before.

What about Jam With the Band and Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (The EU and JP versions of the same game. Both have separate song lists)?

The games have an online song download server. Would it be possible to back up the entire download server and all the songs on it (they're midi files, basically, so it shouldn't be too much) so that people would be able to download them after the online has expired?

You're in the wrong thread for DS games. We've been able to save Jam with the Band thanks to Pikachu025 since he owns a legit cartridge and was able to dump his save file. I need to find someone with a legit Daigasso! Band Brothers DX cartridge before we can download those files (plus possibly a firmware dump of the DS that the save was created with).

Really!? Since when can you dump JWTB's save? I thought that the save type was incompatible with the ripping tools.

How do you do it?

Also I totally know a guy who could rip his DBBDX save (I don't have a slot 2 card so I can't. Pretty sure that's what you need, yeah?) so I'll point him in the direction of this thread.

Edit: Also, where would the DS game thread be?

Here's what he said when he dumped it: "e: Apparently the wifi version of wooddumper works, nice. Where did you find the key in the save?"
Try the wifi version of wooddumper. If you can get me a save file then I might be able to download the DLC data for you. Bonus, I'm not including any of that silliness in the custom server, so everyone will be able to download everything even without a valid serial.

Edit: Take a look here: http://gamebrew.org/wiki/Wood_Dumper
Wifi version download is here: http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=download#middle

If I can get the Wi-Fi version to work, I could dump mine. I have the download slots maxed out on both of them.
I dunno about a firmware dump. I haven't the faintest idea how to do that, but if you can explain to me how, and I'm capable of doing it, I'd be willing to offer it up.
Is there a step by step guide to using the Wood Dumper?

Yes, it is for the Wii and in my opinion is the best pool/billiards game I have played on the Wii.
It's a download from the WiiShop.
If you get it we could play together and I can capture the packets, it would be a win-win, all the way around. B-)

Oh it is wiiware. I will look it up and take a peek. Will let you know if I get it. A warning though, you will likely wipe the floor with me as I doubt I will be very good lol. Oh btw did you ever get one of those pool cue attachments for the wiimote? I have seen them around and always wondered if they were worth it.

Check out what I posted on the previous page if you get wireshark (free open source program) you should be able to get the packets. Conduit 1/2 are definitely on the "don't have" list as of now. Mario kart is done and a new server is running. Goldeneye has a lot of captures I think as well. Not sure about the others.

After you get the packets send them to http://save-nintendo-wifi.com/. Toadking's email address is there. I am not a expert but I think the wireshark method will get useable packets for Toad. :)

Hey, guys, what about the elephant in the room... Modern Warfere 3 Wii and Black Ops Wii (online multi and zombies) which blow away GoldenEye's online multiplayer? If Conduit's multi is gonna be salvaged, then sure as hell CoD should be too.

PS. I am currently using my neighbour's wifi (my router is burnt) so i cannot capture.

is it better than Midnight Pool for Wii?
I'll better check it out. Ελληνας

CoD/GE are different beasts because they don't use Nintendo's servers for their multiplayer. It will take an entirely different project to get those running.

Plus I still don't have any dumps of Call of Duty games.

It was posted earlier that there is likely more involved as the CoD series is hosted differently. Last I knew some might be doing captures for it, but I don't know what the progress is. I don't have Modern Warfare 3 or Black Ops or I would give it a try. I would suggest (if you want to be sure the packets are captured) checking out my post on the previous page and give that a try if you don't have a router that can do packet capture.

Update:
Well there is your confirmation *points to the post right before mine* Looks like Toad and I were posting at the same time lol.

Yeah, those two don't appear to use NWFC. Here's hoping they'll keep online then...

Check the games' boxarts: MW3 & BO don't have the NWFC logo

MW1 and W@W had the NWFC logo

Anyways, by FAR the best online multi FPS on Wii. Single player campaign is another story of course.

PS. Makarios, i tried Cue Sports it's ok but Midnight Pool Wiiware is better overall, give it a shot man. Controls better and looks nicer too ;)

Update:
I used Wiimms DNS server and logged packets for Tetris Party, Bomberman Blast, and CueSports: Pool Revolution, in that order.
I couldn't actually find anyone to play CueSports with, but I sat in the waiting lobby for five full minutes while it searched, so you should at least have something from the game's data. I'll give it another shot later.

Also, whoever I played Bomberman with really owned me badly in that 1-on-1.

I'm not the greatest either, but I still love the game. As for the attachments, I never knew they made a pool cue attachment for the wiimote. If I could get a smooth surface in-front of me with one of those, it might be pretty neat!

Yes, I think it is much better than Midnight Pool. In CueSports you are able to play 4 player Rotation and team games, as well as the ability to customize game rules and foul settings. It is a more "serious" pool simulator, with no avatars or characters. No story mode, just pool and online play.

Ok a update on my previous post. For one thing I forgot to mention monitor mode is necessary otherwise it will only show your current machines traffic. Second some wireless interfaces don't like Wireshark's windows driver and won't allow you to go into monitor mode. BUT I think I have found a solution. Acrylic WiFi installs drivers that Wireshark can use. Go here and download the drivers, install them. Then start Wireshark as administrator (very important in this case) select the Acryl WIFI NDIS interface that was added. You should be able to get all the packets in the area.

Oh one other thing I forgot to mention, if your network is encrypted you need to decrypt it. Wireshark can do this but you need to set up the passwords in the preferences. The details are here.

I will update my previous post in a minute.

Yes I have seen several cue stick attachments. Apparently some are better than others. I don't know which ones though. If get one, will let you know. I will get Cuesports tomorrow and perhaps we can give it a try if you are around. Does it need friend codes?
