kirby air ride doesnt work when shrunk use a full iso and it works wonders you should read the compatibility list ofr kirby air ride

Kirby Air Ride
21px-Flag_of_Europe.png
r36 v4 ✘ 1.35 GB ✘ Can not be shrunk. Recognizes Memory Card, but freezes while creating save. Distorted sound

r44 v4 1.35 GB ✘ ✘ Recognizes Memory Card, but freezes while creating save.Cant be shrunken, if shrunken it will freeze when entering a Race.

Here's the thing:
First, I already read it.
Second: it's on a older revision (here r36, to this day it's r56), compatibility can be changed. I have a totally different reaction compared to the description. I went further than that.

im telling you i tryed it shrunken freezes when entering the match but the 1.35 gb version works wonders, and all those versions didnt increase the compatibility at all devs are fixing some bugs here and there not compatibilitys yet also i dont beleive kriby will ever work when shrunken since that isnt a compatibility issue.

Third: Saying how it works now when shrunk is still useful to know. I don't want to use full ISOs, I don't have much space. I still use DIOS MIOS which still works wonders for me. I'm just testing Nintendont with what I have.

but its there saying if shrunken it freezes when entering a race i dont know what you want to say here its right there on both pal and ntsc "Cant be shrunken", dont think we can make it more obvious.

Hi guys, just agree on this: when you try a compressed ISO game FIRST try it uncompressed (1:1), and also mention it in the compatibility list.
although i would stay clear of that and always use 1:1. Especially for testing.

that's why there's a shrunk column which can be colored in the compatibility list.
You can set it to green if it works, or red if it doesn't. but it seems nobody is filling that info.

3- it happens in Tales of symphonia too. Always pressed UP in menus. It's currently investigated by Greyrogue.
note: it worked fine in Alpha (and beta).
MaxPads is your friend. Maybe we should change the default to one.

Attempt to fix the hw access patch, but can't test this on Wiiu

Could some ppl try this and report back

Comments from ppl testing on Wii are also welcome
Can we get some more people to test this. On my Wii (Hollywood v0x11) the reset button combo doesn't work (tried with both Gamecube and PS3 controller). Does it work for you guys (0x11,0x21 and WiiU)?

Well, for some reason the patch works fine on my version, but when I compile rev56 from the original repo with this patch, the kernel crashes in a panic in the Shutdown function

I'm still wondering why If I force Tales of Symphonia PAL (for example) NTSC video mode and progressive patch activated, the game runs cause I can hear the background sound but I dont have image (I have the component cable). In the compatibility list the game is listed working with 480p.

Also tried Nintendo Puzzle Collection (still ISO), and so far I don't think anything was wrong... Oh yeah, same thing as Kirby Air Ride for the MC. I didn't try all games though, just Panel de Pon.

Dr. Mario also works seemingly perfect. Yoshi's Cookie & the GBA connectivity however don't: Black screen.

Zelda: 4 Swords Adventures crashes after start a game.

Runs fine with MCEmu turned off. Kinda makes the game pointless at the moment but it looks the dogs bollocks on Wii U running through hdmi, and once mcemu compatibility [hopefully] improves we could be onto a winner!

It's best to add it directly to nintendont instead of loading GX to disable or delete the cfg.
Press B when launching and it will disable Autobooting for this launch. (it will be re-enabled next time you launch nintendont).
we could add an autoboot setting in nintendont loader too, now that it can be enabled/disabled.

I added the Autoboot disable option in this mod, but before committing I would like users to test if HID is still working with this version:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/jy1rkh98357d82b/Nintendont_r56mod1.7z (patch included, though badly coded just for test)
It's making button reading exclusive (one value shouldn't trigger a different button anymore)

especially for faku1810, could you tell me if your R button issue is fixed with this version?
I tested with PS3 controller and it works fine.

Thanks for that, I won't be at home for most of the day today so I just quickly tested your mod. Unfortunately my controller still has issues on this one, it's really weird; after several tests I've found out that if I disable Digital L/R then R activates by moving the left trigger to the right, and L won't work at all. If it's enabled, then R activates by itself (it's a permanent 1 on HIDTest) when the analog controls aren't activated in the controller, but if i press the Analog button to enable the sticks, then R deactivates and will be triggered by moving the left stick down.

I also tried the new autoboot option, but I might be doing something wrong because it doesn't work. I believe it's due to nintendont refreshing FPAD at launch or disabling it when loading a game, so technically it autoboots while the wiimote isn't working so it can't recognize the FPAD_Cancel event. But that's only my guess after reading a bit of the code (I've been testing some changes to the ui lol).

There are compatibility differences based on whether you have the game on a USB or SD card. Seems interesting...
