I'm not sure what's happening. I'm softmodding his 4.3U Wii. And I'm using MauiFrogs guide to softmod any wii. I've used this guide on all the previous Wii's that I've modded and never had any problems, although the previous Wii's never allowed me to install bootmii as boot2. This Wii is the first time I've ever been able to select that option.
After I was done with Hackmii (everything installed successfully) I exited out to HBC. When I pressed the Home Button the option to "Launch Bootmii" wasn't there. So I rebooted the Wii figuring that it should autoboot upon startup, and it didn't. Then I edited the bootmii.ini file so that it wouldn't boot to the sysmenu, and still nothing. I either get stuck at a black screen upon booting up, or it just loads the Health and Safety disclaimer and goes straight to sysmenu.
I've tried running bootmii from apps like WiiXplorer and it just loads to a black screen and does nothing. I've tried two different SD cards, (one of which is my personal one that I've used for every mod and have never had problems with) so I'm skeptical of it being a card issue. Although I guess I can't count it out.
While in the Hackmii installer it showed to the option to uninstall bootmii as boot2, AND it also showed the option to uninstall bootmii as an IOS. I don't understand why it's showing me the option to uninstall bootmii as an IOS when I've never installed it to begin with.
His Wii is preowned, and neither of us are sure if anything has been done to it or not. I ran a syscheck to see if maybe you guys could figure out if anything's been done to it before. All I installed was HBC and bootmii as boot2.
