To the vWII???? I am not talking about the Wii U. I want to transfer the Miis on my old Wii to the vWII on my Wii U.You can with a WiiRemote. Or by importing the Wii with the Wii import tool.
Doesn't the Wii transfer tool do that for you?
Even if it doesn't. There's also Savegame Manager GX
Ok I was able to copy some Miis to the WiiRemote but how do I copy them to the vWii? There are no icons for on the right side (no transfer, plaza etc.) any ideas?Excactly what I meant ? You go to the Mii channel on your Wii and select copy to remote there while selecting the mii with A and B
Just wondering though... Why not use the normal Nintendo way to transfer ALL from your Wii to the Wii u?
Hi. what does this Savegame Manager GX exactly do? thank youDoesn't the Wii transfer tool do that for you?

Yes. I couldn't lose my Zoidberg and Joker Mii's.Doesn't the Wii transfer tool do that for you?

But it deletes all your data in your Wii, doesnt it?Yes. I couldn't lose my Zoidberg and Joker Mii's.
I have that one already with other 30 really cool Miis hehe thats why I want to copy them over the vWiiJust because it's awesome, I'm going to share my Joker Mii:
I've heard of people doing a BootMii backup beforehand and then restoring it afterwards, depending whether or not you have BootMii installed as Boot2 or how risky you feel that is.But it deletes all your data in your Wii, doesn't it?
Oh, I suppose if you don't have bootmii as boot2 then it wouldn't be a good idea. Just use SGM GX.But it deletes all your data in your Wii, doesnt it?
I do have it but I rather not go through all the hassles! Im going to give GameSave Manager a try!Oh, I suppose if you don't have bootmii as boot2 then it wouldn't be a good idea. Just use SGM GX.

I think the only hassle is the time involved, especially if he just wants his Miis and not his save data and shop channel purchases.Yes, I can see how that would be a terrible hassle. I mean, it wasn't when I did it, but those three steps just look so difficult when I write it out like that.
- Backup Wii with Bootmii
- Copy your crap to the vWii through the transfer tool
- Restore Wii with Bootmii
Yes, not only have I hacked it but I managed to copy and install and fix the 16:9 aspect ratio of many many channels, forwarders, Wiiware stuff etc. Also was able to run everything from both an SD card and the Wii memory (ios80 patched)... Make Nintendo offcial channels, Homebrew stuff, Forwarders, WiiWare, VC, emulators vWii compatible (BannerTools). Even installed and ran the ConnectWii which Joostinonline coded, Nintendont etc, etc. the only thing I am missing to completly have everything from my old Wii are the bloody Miis. Now having that said... Im a bit stuck with extracting the bloody miis it gives me a USB8 default location and can not extract the file.I think the only hassle is the time involved, especially if he just wants his Miis and not his save data and shop channel purchases.
In that case it would just be:
1. Extract Miis from Wii with SGMGX
2. Install Miis to Wii U with SGMGX
(Of course, this also assumes he's already hacked his Wii U or was planning to do it anyway ... which is a BIG deciding factor here)
Hmm, good question. I'll have to check that on my Wii when I get home if someone else can't give an answer sooner.Yes, not only have I hacked it but I manage to copy and install and fix the 16:9 ratio and was able to run everything from both an SD card and the Wii memory... I tried changing the location to sd:/savemiis but goes back to USB8, any ideas????? Thank you!
BTW what should be default name of the folder inside the apps folder in my sd card? HBC_SetUp_R127?
