I kinda figured it had something to do with that but it seems like a lot of trouble to go through for something you can raise by leveling up.
IV's and natures go hand in hand with leveling up though. Let's say a lvl 100 adamant Mawile with perfect IV's gets put in a mirror match against a lvl100 modest Mawile with garbage IV's. Adamant gives a 10% boost to the Attack stat and a -10% to special attack. Mawile is not a special attacker so this is a beneficial nature as hes losing power in a stat he wouldnt use for more power in a stat that he needs. Modest on the other hand does the opposite. -10% to attack for 10% to special attack, this mawile is losing power in its main stat to boost a stat he doesnt need.

Ignoring IV's we assume the 2 mawile to have identical stats, BUT after comparing the above natures the Adamant Mawile essentially has an attack stat that is 20% higher than that of the opposing modest mawile. Then we factor in the first mawile's perfect IV's and the second mawile's bad IV's further boosting their stats. Our Adamant Mawile now not only has a higher attack stat but also has slightly superior stats across the board allowing him to outspeed the Modest Mawile and take an almost guaranteed victory.

No wonder people use hack software for that load of craziness...

My casual ass will just stick to completing the dex :wtf:

Is there anyone with the TM Substitute who's willing to teach it to my Klefki and then trade it back to me? I'm battling a friend later, and I can't get the TM until tomorrow.
