idk about this one, if the clone does everything the original can but costs less, why not get the clone?
im not specifically talking about the R4 clone as well, 3dslink is another 3ds flashcard that costs about half the cost of gateway

Oh, I'm not saying it was completely worthless, the build quality part is nice, but the bigger issues were missed, so overall, the discussion could be seen as a minor failure . Just a bit premature, that's all. The majority of this thread is balking at how incomplete the guide is, or how users think Pong is using this as a way to advertise.



Huh, that's a fair point, I guess, but it doesn't really quell the clamor that people are dying to know about. I am not saying that what he did was completely wrong and he should be punished over it. He's received more than enough of that judging by earlier responses. I admire the effort he at least put in to the writing of the thing, but the execution could have been a bit better. As I write a lot of reviews myself, I find that my creed is that reviews are a guideline to help a user make an educated decision with facts and evidence. I find that getting a dud unit can go in multiple directions as far as interpretation, but a lot of people are concluding that due to one user getting a defective cartridge, the entire team should be burned at the stake. Which is regrettable considering the decency of the company. If I were placed in a position like that, I'd simply wait a little bit, and then get a replacement unit, while noting the defective unit in the follow up. It just seems a bit more controversial to release an unfinished comparison, you know?

im just disagreeing about saving everything up and posting a review as opposed to posting a review as it goes, i always post a review as it goes but thats just me personally

Just got my r4i gold deluxe edition.

Set I using. 4.5.0-4u.

Games tested:

Taiko jap game: working well.

Pokemon x: same error as gateway 3ds.

Only manage to test 2 games before rushing to work.

sorry but your out of luck the changes are small that that ther wil be 6.00-6.20 support but 6.3 will be nearly as impossible

i did it for 3 months after that i bought a refurbished 3ds ( it was 100 euros so pretty cheap and it was an ambassardor)

Update will always come after the original, like much later. So I rather go with original. I rather not wait while others enjoy new update because I have a clone and have to wait. As it stand money isn't an issue because gateway does deliver and was worth the money spent.

when ive gone through about 50 games, tested the NON working Gateway games and the list is the same so trying out main games also

i tested more games than listed, but everything that is Not working is listed in the Fail list
will update the Working list as i remember them

now to wait for the next round of updates to really decide i guess tho

Well it's good to see the card working and the r4i gold team replacing the bad card, that speaks good of them. I still don't like the fact that they just copy the GW work and make the 1.2 GW software the 2.0 v of their card nor the fact that they have 3 cards under different brands.

Still only time will tell which one is better as the teams upgrade or abandon their cards.
