I just noticed that the TEAM9 3.55 Custom Firmware link in the exe tool doesn't work. The link for mediafire is broken and the other two lead to surveys.

Yeah I realize that now. It's just so frustrating. It's so hard to hack the PS3. If you have an old fat model that's past 3.55, you have to buy a $90 downgrader and solder it into the system. Or buy an 3k3y (also $90). If you have a slim model, it can't be downgraded. So your only option is to buy a 3k3y and solder that onto the system. None of these methods are simple, easy or cheap. Why can't it be like hacking the Wii? All you needed was a memory card and brawl.

I paid $60 to downgrade my PS3 Slim 2100x. It should cost around the same to downgrade a FAT PS3. For just one system it is better to pay someone else to do it then to buy a flasher, both for ease and money perspective.

You should know that PS3 is pretty easy to hack compared to Xbox 360.

Who did you send your PS3 to? I don't know anything about xbox 360 hacking. I never got any microsoft systems.

There's currently NO way to downgrade to 3.55 without an E3 Flasher or similar.

So they are after bitcoins..... And that would be why the virus scanners didn't detect it. (GPU code is pretty new and when I got hit with it it went right past Avast... I only noticed because I sit right next to my machine and when it is running a game the fan kicks in really loud. So when it was going like a bat out of hell and I was just surfing the web I knew something wasn't right.... started digging and found the bastard.)

They're probably placing a trojan in there which turns your machine into a bitcoin miner. There's no use and sense in continuing this thread since it's a blatant scamp and OP should've understood that long ago instead of feeding the trolls scammers.
