Capcom have come out with a strongly worded notice for players on their official website, warning them not to tamper with Monster Hunter 4’s game save data. They warn that doing so could possibly brick the entire game itself, rendering the copy unusable.​

soo,i think some people manage to hack the save file for a 3DS game
any idea how they did it ?

was the Japanese that figured out the Monster Hunter 3G Japanese 3DS game Save Key

most likely they did the Monster Hunter 4 key also

its not about hacked as in loading it
its on about cheating to get items and gold etc

its a Save hack lol, not a game data hack, its just they found the key to decrypt the save and what values controlled money and item ID numbers which they then just recenypted

Pokemon is also a NAND saving game so no hope

Save Backup doesnt work, and CTR-E, same as animal crossing

no, the hack only works (as far as i know) on the Japanese Monster Hunter 3G card and now by the sounds of it on the Monster Hunter 4 Japanese carts

the saves were hacked using the CYBER Gadget save editor.

I follow a JP save hacking forum and they have addresses for mods of almost all 3ds gamesaves.

This is why I keep pushing so hard for people to crack and release a program for the decryption and reencryption of newer 3ds saves past FW 2.2.0-4
