Sorry for my bad English. So after I installed 17 wad file in Wad manager, its all sucess, then i press Home button to exitting to The Homebrew Channel menu, but i got freezing on loading screen. I cant press anything at all from my wii remote, i decided plug out the cable power and reset my Wii u. I tried to turn it on again and go to Wii Mode, but all i get is just the black sceen :( . Could anyone helps me? My Wii u firmware is up to date. Thanks

Sounds like your vWii is likely permanently bricked. Should have done more research before installing wads. Some Wii wads will not work in vWii, they need to be specially modified to work on vWii

Yup, unfortunately, hacking the VWii is much more dangerous than hacking a regular Wii. You can not go in with the mindset that everything is exactly the same, because that simply is not the case.

your vWii is bricked. your SOL
unfortunately : the only way to fix it would be if Wii U mode were hacked and had some way to backup and restore vWii NAND, that way you could extract the NAND->fix it/have someone else fix it for you->then flash it back.

In order to get full benifit of homebrew on vWii, you only have to install the homebrew channel and 2 vWii compatible wad files (d2x cios ).
No idea what you did but nowhere near a proper vWii softmod.
sorry to say this but, at this point your vWii is FUBAR.

Is there a list of WADs that won't break the Wii U? Like... VC/WiiWare stuff should work fine? Or doesn't it?

ill say this once follow the guide lines for softmodding vwii do not take it upon your own brain to install anything if you have no knowledge or time to learn things. wiiware and vc should all be fine none of them will brick vwii as i no ov. just dont install any ios's other then what your told......(by someone with brains) also dont use injected wads. if you read this and follow this then you shouldnt have any issues

Yeah, I don't do injected WADs, not on my regular Wii either. I'd rather keep those strictly as HBC apps.

Alright, good to know I can use "official" WADs then.

Yeah I have been super careful too.....I have tried WiiWare and VC Wads and had no problem using MMM with what IOS 239 (I think whatever the homebrew specific IOS is). What I have done is I alsways test the Wad on the Wii first to make sure it is not an inject, that it runs, and that it is from my region.

I was actually considering not softmodding my vWii mode as hell I still have a modded Wii sitting right in the entertainment center with a couple hundread Wads loaded on a 32gb card and a 400gb HD with every iso worth owning....then I was just too tempted to do the mod (because well its a mod and they are tempting)....everything has worked great so far and now that they have gamepad support that makes it all the more tempting....if they will just get classic pro controlls mapped then I will be really excited about vWii mode.

I am actually a little suprised that Nintendo has not re-loaded the vWii module and ios on a WiiU update....I mean I know they can't really lock down vWii mode but even in the old Wii days they would always knock out your IOS and un-authorized channels.....I guess they just don't give a crap....the guy could always try for a warrenty repair if he is still covered.....just call them and play dumb...I am sure Nintendo has tools or hardwar that they can reflash corrupt Nand.

It sounds like you installed Wii IOSes on vWii. They are not cross-compatible.
Were you trying to install DARKCORP or something like that? (bad idea)
There may be hope. If you have a NAND backup of your vWii in working condition, it should be possible to solder an Infectus to the NAND chip and flash the backup to it. This requires some serious soldering skills, however.
Normally I would refer you to DeadlyFoez as he does a lot of Wii unbricking around here and the same would work for vWii, but he is having some family/life trouble at the moment.

Yeah I think they just don't care anymore. People on this forum have reported sending in Wii Us with bricked vWiis and just getting replacements. Considering production on the Wii is stopping soon anyway, I really don't think Nintendo's too concerned about Wii hacking anymore, as long as they can still sell Wii Us.
