I think I quite figured out it was Taiwan... What I was asking for was the number code for TWN region and the number code for zh language...

:) :)

Puyo Puyo also missing, not that it's important. I really hope the one Korean-exclusive game gets dumped: MapleStory 3DS.

That doesn't exist.

You're thinking of "MapleStory DS", which is a single-player only game, based off the online game. I have it and have beaten it. You can already play it on DS flashcarts

aaaand, I stand corrected. AWESOME! Does it have online?

tangz:

The language code Zh is Chinese, the OfflineList Language number for Chinese should be 4.
(Just add 4 to the language value to add Chinese, e.g English is 2, add 4 to get 6 = English+Chinese)
I've seen some sites label Taiwan Region games as China Region, OfflineList Location number for China is 3.
(Which is technically Incorrect, as Taiwan and China are seperate Regions, but currently there are no dumps of China Region games.
China Region Consoles can play Taiwan Region Games but Taiwan Region consoles cannot play China Region games
not that it matters much anymore since most people will be using the Gateway v1.1 launcher.)

Region TWN??? Language is zh.
I dont have a region code for taiwan nor do I have a language code for zh....? :(
Any ideas?
I have an idea : OfflineList is outdated, don't use it! it was great for old systems, not for new consoles.
But nobody created another software which could have an updatable xml interface and plugins supports.

Exactly my point, I have searched high and low for a newer better software to keep roms updated... Can't seem to find any.
What are you using to keep them organized?

NDSCRC and 3DSCRC from Pixelk (look on Advanscene forum).
But I use 3DSCRC only for the easy "picture display" with mouse scrolling to see which games exists/are released, as I don't have 3DS roms to rename.

I'd stongly recommend buying SMTIV. There is DLC that actually continues the story, which is rare for DLC, and I doubt DLC is going to be playable on Gateway or otherwise any time soon.

Also, in case you didn't know, DWM2 won't be out for a long time, I think.

This is old news, but there's something I'll like to ask:

It has been announced that the games Pokémon X & Y will both be distributed via a special download card in various retail stores across Japan in addition to the standard release as both cartridges and directly on the eShop. This follows on from various previous games on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

-http://www.serebii.net/archive/August-2013.shtml 02-08-2013 05:58 BST / 00:58 EDT by Serebii

My main focus is the underlined portion as seen above.

1. Are these "special download card" simply 3DS carts that will download the game onto your 3DS console? (akin to downloading from eshop)
2. Any idea if they have been dumped, and if it can be used with GW? (I'm not asking for ROMS, I'm simply interested as I have never known that such cards exist until I saw that post)

That sounds like a voucher with a code used to redeem download rights to the game in the eShop.

So it's a card to redeem points at a retail outlet to log onto e-shop, not a cartridge that downloads the game onto your console.

I see.

I was confused as my interpretation is there are 3 methods: Retail Cart, e-shop download, and special download card at retailers.

alright then! T.T

Well, sh!t... Can't find either of those applications....
Regardless, I have updated offlinelist... Guess since no one gives a crap I'll continue updating it for myself. ;)

399 releases now, a new dumping group "NRP" is dumping Japanese games,
That makes 9 groups now that can dump 3DS games. Total so far:

#. Group (# of releases / %)
1. Venom (142 releases / 35%)
2. Contrast (127 releases / 32%)
3. Kirin ( 36 releases / 9%)
3. Abstrakt ( 36 releases / 9%)
5. Bahamut ( 19 releases / 5%)
6. Legacy ( 16 releases / 4%)
7. NRP ( 14 releases / 3%)
8. iND ( 8 releases / 2%)
9. Wombat ( 1 release / 0%)

Just found this on PS3Crunch:

SFD say he has got the MH4 rom.
But GW can't run this game.
First time runs the game ,it's all right until the op over . Then blank screen and 3ds reboot.
Next time runs the game ,3ds will reboot at once.
Can GW overcome this problem ?
Oh No!!!!! I can't play this game with GW and my POOR English !

Can anyone confirm monster hunter 4 works?

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
  • DinohScene @ DinohScene:
    run h2testw on it

when SD cards/microSD write speeds drop below a meg a sec, they're usually on the verge of dying

Samsung SD format can sometimes fix them too
  • Purple_Heart @ Purple_Heart:
yes looks like an faulty sd
  • Purple_Heart @ Purple_Heart:
@Psionic Roshambo i may try that with my dead sd cards
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    It's always worth a shot
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@The Real Jdbye, I considered that, but i'll have to wait until i can get the eu version in the mail lol
