I have a hard drive partitioned and formatted to both WBFS, and FAT32. I have GameCube games installed on the FAT partition which UsbLoaderGX recognizes fine... but any time I try to play them from UsbloaderGX it trys to rip them to my SD card (or it askes me if I want to delete games from my SD) even though I've set the main path to my USB. UsbLoaderGX has problems writing to my SD so I can't rip the games to my SD not that I'd want to anyways. -.- I've tried updating UsbLoader and that didn't seem to work. I can boot them fine from the Dios Mios booter, but I like to have everything clean and in one place, and I really like the way usbloadergx does that.

Please I need your help. :)

Hello :)

I don't know if you are using the correct build, but here is the current (real) latest version : revision 1215.
You need to extract the boot.dol located in IOS249 folder, and place it to your SD;/apps/usbloader_gx/ folder
Then boot the loader using the Homebrew channel or the Forwarder (not the full channel). To verify if you are using the forwarder or the full channel, go to settings > credit. If you see "3.0c" it's the full channel.

You have two different folders for gameCube :
Main GameCube path : set this one to the folder you want to dump game discs. (default is USB1;/games)
SD GameCube path : set this one to SD/games/

You sir kick so much ass it's not even funny. I read some other topics previously that you had answered and fixed, because my problems were relatively similar. Anyways I was hoping you'd reply... Problem solved!.

Digression:
One of the other topics you replied to involved a person with a faulty SD card? I'm using a 16gb Micro-SD to SD converter for my wii and although I haven't tested it with this newer version of UsbLoader GX the old loader could read information but couldn't write it... and I wasn't able to change paths or nearly any configurations, but I think the main point of the topic was that they couldn't download covers... I had to read that topic multiple times to try and figure out the solution, and I don't really think it was at all clear. *Getting to the point* If you ever find someone else that has the same problem that I described. Tell them to partition a small part of their WBFS HDD/USB to FAT32 or something that UsbLoaderGX can read and write the configuration files to. That should save them from going out and buying a new SD card.

Thanks for your help it's greatly appreciated.

Of course they could use USB in fat32 to save their config file (and even boot the loader from USB too), but usually when a user has a problem it's best to try to find the cause and fix it instead of going around the problem and suggesting another approach (using usb/another partition, instead of SD when the user want to use SD).
finding the problem can help more user, for example if it require a fix in the loader itself it will prevent other users to report the same bug.

I'm glad you could fix your problem :)
