Enable auto patching / video patching. It worked for me.

I have Neogamma r9 and it has like a gazillion of video patch option. Which one should I choose? Also, do I have to force video?

After reading several guides.. i still have no idea what's the safest or best method to get her hacked.
A little bit of guidance would be handy.

Ok i'm on 4.3E so i ran modmii and then made the SD and copied the files.
But so far.... clueless as to what to do next.

• Installing The Homebrew Channel (HBC) and Bootmii

Note: if this Wii was previously modified, and it has either the HBC, BootMii as Boot2, or a Forwarder Channel installed, you can use that instead of an exploit.

If using BootMii as Boot2 to install the HBC, turn on your Wii with the SD Card inserted and BootMii will load. Go To the SD menu and load bootmini.elf. This will load the Hackmii Installer allowing you to reinstall the HBC.

If using a Forwarder Channel, just save the boot.elf/dol from the app you want to load (ie. SD:\apps\hackmii_installer\boot.elf or SD:\apps\MMM\boot.dol) to the location used by your specific Forwarder Channel (ie. SD:\apps\usbloader\boot.dol). Then start the channel and the Hackmii Installer will load allowing you to reinstall the HBC. Note, if your forwarder channel only loads dol's and not elf's, launch MMM's boot.dol, then use its "App Manager" to load the Hackmii Installer.

Requirements: an SD or SDHC card
Go to the "Messageboard" on your Wii and navigate to Yesterday. Click on the envelope with the pink Bomb icon.

This runs the Hackmii Installer. Use the installer to install the Homebrew Channel (HBC) and Bootmii as IOS and Bootmii as Boot2 (if possible).
Note: If you get a "no vulnerable IOS" error message, run ModMii again and this time select the "Hackmii Solutions" option and follow the new instructions before continuing this guide.

hi, i was going to softmod my wii with a 1gb sd card and was wondering after i got hombrew channel and all of my loader and was done, does the sd card always have to stay in my wii. Because i wanted to use a 8gb sd card to play backups on it. Thxs in advance.

Nope, the Wii itself will work without the SD.

If the loader itself is either installed as a channel (not recommended, a forwarder or launching through HBC is safer) or the forwarder/HBC is launching it off of USB (or a new SD put into it) it'll be fine.

Nothing is permanently tied to the original SD.

Devolution: Best features and compatibility, but has AP/DRM. You need to feed it real discs before it'll let you play that game.

DIOS MIOS loads off USB, DIOS MIOS Lite loads from SD.

So for Devolution, i have to give it the real disk... everytime? Or once then it reads off the USB?

Just once, unless you later delete or move or stare for more than 3 seconds at the confirmation files it writes.

Huh... DM might be the way to go. Any tips getting the HBC to update? My friends Wii is stuck on the Beta 8 HBC. When i download the update, the bar disappears from the screen and the HBC reboots. Checking the version again, its still Beta 8.
